"alright boys!" coach wallas gathered up all of the high school boys, "our last game before home coming is tomorrow. our last practice before then is today. we don't have enough time to talk so we're staying serious today. break!"
all of the boys separated, going into their places.
usually cyrus, buffy, and iris would just sit in the stands waiting for them to finish, but cyrus had to do his homework and iris had to meet up with kira.
"offense tackle reeves, switch with outside linebacker johns!" coach wallas ordered, "hut, hut, hike!"
with marty and tj being on offense, they won.
who could win against them?
they've been playing since middle school.
mini baby time skip
marty took off his helmet and walked to the stands to grab his bag and text iris to pull up the car for him, tj, and cyrus.
"where's iris?" tj asked, after they changed and walked to the front.
"she said she'll be here in three minutes cause she went to drop off kira and cyrus." marty answered, putting his phone back into his back pocket.
"sorry i'm late losers. i stopped to get some chic-fil-a." iris pulled up the car in front of them.
"can i have some?" marty asked, getting into the front seat while tj got into the back middle seat.
"no."
"thank you." marty took some of her fries anyways, then handed some to tj.
"i said- you know what? never mind. how was practice?"
"you're seventeen. not seventy." tj laughed.
"i will throw the pillow in my glove compartment at you. answer the question. how was practice?"
"it was good." tj and marty answered at the same time.
"you guys gonna win?"
"obviously."
"if you two lose, i'm disowning you as my adopted kids."
"we never gave consent to be your adopted kids." tj pointed out.
"i'm your brother." marty said.
"you're all my adopted kids. i don't care."
"imagine forcing teenagers that are two years younger than you to be your adopted children. couldn't be me." marty laughed.
"we already have our own adopted kids too." tj added.
"who?" iris asked.
"freshmen anna-grace jacks and paco wilks."
"what about you, marts?"
"freshmen naomi brookson, priya sloanne, and trevor and travis jackson." marty answered, eating the last fry.
"imagine having four adopted kids. couldn't be me. i have like twelve."
"why?"
"because i'm popular and nice. you should try it some time."
"but twelve?" tj emphasized.
"three juniors, two sophomores, and seven freshmen."
"but it's called adopt a freshmen."
"i've had them as my children since they were freshmen."
"couldn't be me and marty." tj sighed, getting out of the car and walking to his house, "see you tomorrow!"
