I opened my eyes and stared up at my ceiling, the one i've known since I was a kid, and sighed. Another boring day of summer vacation I thought to myself. I got up and slowly walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror "Do I need to take a shower?" I asked myself, "yes, yes I do. Mom and Dad are getting home today." I answered my own question. I sighed, shut the bathroom door, stripped, and hopped in the shower. "I haven't turned the lights on since they left, so ill need to do that and open all of the blinds," I noted in my head as I washed myself, "I only changed once so laundry won't be a problem and I haven't really eaten anything so dishes won't be a problem, but I should still clean the kitchen just in case," I finished my mental note as I finished rinsing the soap off my body and got out of the shower. I grabbed my towel and dried off, when I was done with that I wrapped the towel around my skinny waist and put my clothes in the hamper that's next to the shower.I Headed over to my room and put on my clothes, a red shirt with a white hoodie over it, black skinny jeans, and black and white converse.
I wouldn't say my parents are rich but they are pretty wealthy. They both own their own company's and are rarely home. Our house is mediocre definitely not a house you would expect two wealthy CEOs to live in. However, I kinda like the house we live in, this way no one knows that I have wealthy parents and so they won't try to be "friends" with me just for my money. I had that happen in my last school it had gotten out that my parents were well off and so a lot of people tried to speak to me about money all at once and become my "friend" which, of course, was way too many colors at once my head started spinning and I passed out. Needless to say my parents transferred me out of that middle school and into the one I graduated from last year. I have already completed my freshman year of highschool with the same people I graduated middle school with but I still don't have a single friend. At school my favorite time is lunch, because I can go anywhere while all of the other kids go to the cafeteria. Making it the least stressful part of my day other than the bright school lights. In the halls on my way from class to class I always keep my head down to try and avoid colors, and I take noise canceling headphones to school so I don't have to listen to anything while going down the hall.
After I finished cleaning I sighed and looked at my phone to see where they were, I keep the brightness all the way down so my phone's not as bright. They were pulling into the neighborhood "God, of course they are right there, time to turn on the lights and open the curtains and blinds," I thought as I put on my sunglasses. They were round and they were the same colors as my eyes except they were backwards, meaning where my left eye is red and my right eye is blue the left lens is blue while the right lens in red. I loved these glasses because they made it look like I did not have heterochromia but instead have purple eyes which is a dark purple that looks black so no one would notice unless they really looked into my eyes, which I would never allow to happen. Of course, the glasses also make everything have a purple, red, or blue tint to them, but I will live. I usually keep my eyes closed when talking to people if they have a sharp voice, or if there are a lot of other people around. However that never really works completely. It does dampen the sharpness of the voice but never really covers the color or where the sound is coming from so I always know where people are. I used to think that people were the only thing with a color but recently dogs barks have become colors and so has cats meows it seams each year something new happens with the colors.
I stretched as I opened up the last blind letting the sun roam freely around the house once again. It only took me two minutes to open all of the blinds. Then I heard their car pull up outside.
"Jaren dear," Mom sang happily through the house as she open the door. I loved both of my parents and both of them had soft voices which told me they were good people.
"Yes, ma?" I replied.
"Good news, we are moving to a new house that we just bought!" She exclaimed excitedly. Now, usually people my age would hate moving at this time, but I couldn't care less because I didn't have friends so I was able to move without worrying about leaving my friends behind.
