Everyone knew what he was talking about and agreed so we headed to the back of the school. Before we turned the corner I had an idea since the leader was scared of me. I told the others to go ahead of me and I hid in the back where the bullies couldn't see me. The poor boy was black and blue. When the leader noticed us he jumped and scanned the faces he could see. When he didn't see me he sighed and became more confident.
"What are you doing?" Cameron asked with anger obvious in his voice.
"What we always do, why do you care now of all times?" the leader asked in a descending voice.
"Because you hurt me yesterday so we are going to keep you from hurting anyone else," I stated, walking out from behind the group so he could see me. He gasped and backed away when he saw me. His defenses were immediately up and he was ready to run. I walked up and with every step I took forward him and his group took a step back.
"Stop backing up unless you want me to come after you," John threatened. I continued walking towards them and they all stopped. When I was at the leaders face he gulped and kept his face down toward the ground. I put my hand on his shoulder which made him flinch.
"If you hurt anyone again, I will come for you and make it much worse than before, do you understand?" I asked in a whisper so only he could hear me. He nodded quickly.
"Good, now go do something else, make your life a good one, with no regrets. You deserve a better future than the one you are crafting with your actions now, and if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here. No need to be afraid," I told him with a sweet tone and a soft look in my eyes telling him it was ok I kept my voice low so only he could hear me. He teared up and hugged me.
"Thank you, i'll be better," he promised. I hugged him back, even though he put on a tough guy act he was like a big teddy bear, with family issues. He walked over to the guy on the ground and helped him up.
"I'm sorry, for everything Craig, i'm dealing with a lot, can we be friends?" he asked.
"It's ok, Tyler. I forgive you," the smaller one said and hugged him. I turned to the rest of his group who looked at me thankfully.
"Thank you, we didn't know how to calm him down. His mother died a while ago which sent him into a frenzy which turned out in him hurting Craig. My names Evan," the tall guy with raven hair and honey colored eyes introduced. He was wearing a black shirt with a red leather jacket over it. The jacket has two white stripes on either side around his arms and blue jeans. His voice was a golden yellow and showed he has made mistakes in the past but is slowly fixing them. He had a more rough voice but it wasn't to unpleasing to my eyes. He was going to live a nice life.
"Jaren," I introduced while shaking his hand.
"Thats David, Lui, Tyler, and Craig," he introduced me to the rest of his friends. David was very tall but not taller than Cameron. He has black hair and dark brown eyes. He has a green shirt and blue jeans. Lui was shorter than me, but not buy much. He has dark brown hair and eyes with a red jacket and white shirt underneath and blue jeans. Tyler has blond hair blue eyes and a white wildcat shirt with blue jeans. Craig is a little taller than me with light brown hair and green eyes with a black shirt and blue jeans. The rest of my friend group came and shook hands with everyone and introduced themselves.
"I guess we will see you later," I waved to them as we all parted ways.
"What is with you? You always seem to know what to say. We have been there enemies since freshman year when we met them, and now we know that he has been dealing with his mother's death," John asked.
"Sometimes, you just need to listen," I answered. It was now time for our group to split so we could go home. So Ezra, Jay, Mason, Eric, and Toby all went their separate ways home.
