Padmé P.O.V
The door bell let off a bright ding sound. "Dad! Can you get the door?"

"Sure honey."

I finished putting my earrings in and glanced in the mirror one last time before quickly going downstairs.

"Hello, you must be Anakin." I heard my father say.

"Yes sir." A deeper voice responded.

When I rounded the end of the steps into the foyer, my breathe caught a little. Anakin was standing in the door way and shaking hands with my dad. He looked handsome. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and he was dressed casually, but still formally. A bouquet of white roses were in his hand. When he saw me his eyes widened a little.

"Padmé. You look... beautiful."

I blushed. "Thank you Anakin."

My dad smiled while watching us. "Just have her back by 10 young man."

Anakin nodded while not taking his eyes of me. "Yes sir."

After kissing my dad on the cheek, I stepped out the door and shut it behind me. When I turned to Anakin, he had a huge smile on his face.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing, nothing. Um, I got these for you."

He handed me the white roses. I smiled and held them up to my nose. "Mmmmm, they good. Thank you."

He smiled. "Well, shall we go?"

"Yes, Let's.

Anakin opened and closed the car door for me. As he pulled out of the drive way, I decided there was no way I was gonna make this awkward. Secret? I had kinda liked Anakin for while now. Yes he was very annoying and frustrating and never left me alone and- well, you get the idea. Point was, I was excited he asked me out. But I didn't want to seem like that love-sick school girl. So for the longest time, I acted like I didn't like him.

"What movie are we seeing?"

"I'm glad you asked. I didn't know what you would want to see, so I brainstormed on the way home from basketball and decided on "Call of the Wild"."

"Wait, Call of the Wild?"

Anakin glanced nervously at me. "Or not. If you don't like it..."

"No I'd love to see it! That's my favorite book! How did you know?"

Anakin gave a dorky smile. "I didn't think you'd notice but, I saw you carrying it around last week. And then the movie came out and it seemed perfect."

My face must have been as bright as the sun face. "Anakin that's so sweet. Thank you."

He returned the smile.

"On a different note, how was basketball." I asked.

"It was great!"

Anakin launched into how practice had gone. Funnily enough, it didn't bother me. I was asking questions and actually involved. I felt perfectly comfortable with this boy. Eventually, we were branching of from conversation to conversation. The car ride felt so short I was surprised when we pulled into the Emagine movie theater.

Although I argued, Anakin bought the tickets and popcorn. I nearly sobbed during the movie. The whole time, I wanted Anakin to try and hold my hand. Maybe not kiss, but at least something. Unfortunately he didn't. As we walked out of the movie, Anakin turned to me.

"So, everything you hoped and more?"

I laughed. "Yes everything i hoped and more. Have you read the book?"
