Chapter eleven - Guilt

You look closer to where they had left, Inosuke let out a battle cry, you couldn't understand him.

The ground was charred, everything around it was burnt. The wind blew into your hair, the clouds started drifting away and it was light again, not by a lot though.

The sky was a grayish-blue, you felt scared, paranoid. Like someone was watching.

You had subconsciously drowned Inosukes words out and now he was yelling at you,
"Hey! Hey! HEY HEY!" He yelled,
"Huh! Oh s-sorry!"

He stopped yelling and let out a puff of air threw his nose, your thought of the sky faded and new ones came. You thought of the demon, the one with the weird ink, goop, body.... he was terrified of that boss person, whoever they were. 

You were scared but you couldn't just let that boss control them like that, and to cause that much terror.... you shudder just thinking about it.

"Do- do you think we could help them?...." You asked Inosuke slowly,

"They're demons!"
"Well- yeah- but what if that boss guy hurts other people! If demons are scared of him then what do you think he can do!" You shrink back a bit , you didn't want to start a yelling contest, Inosuke would definitely win that.

He thought about it, something you didn't know he could do,
"Lets fight them! AHAHHAHAHH"
"Let's not fight....."

He was already screaming about fighting them.

*Too late....*

"Maybe we can go back to the cabin to find out where they we-"

He was already gone, you could see him running to the cabin, leaving behind a cloud of dust and dirt.

"..nt....." You finished your sentence and ran after him.

The door was broken open and he was throwing things around looking, he was in the hallway where you found the weird, goop, ink thing demon.

Hah... good times....

You went to the kitchen to look, you checked under the table, in the table, the fridge, cabinets, top of the cabinets.

Then you tried the drawers after about a half an hour of searching, you found a locked one. You tried to open it but it wouldn't budge.

You looked over at Inosuke who had pulled out almost everything in that hallway,
*This must be it then....*

"Inosuke!" You called out for him, you saw his boar mask peek out from the mess.
(A/N: imagine that uwu )

"Can you help me with this?" He came over and studied the drawer before yanking on it, you stood there awkwardly.

He even used his sword to try and pry it open, it still wouldn't budge.

"You can stop now, it probably needs a key-"
"I can do it!" He promised you,
"But it's locked-"

After one last try It snapped open.

You blinked, *he really- Ok that's normal.....*

He seemed proud of himself and snickered.
"Thank you!"
He gave you a pat on the head, a single pat.
