New Kid [Ty Simpkins]

Spring

Maya spent all of Sunday working on homework, replying to some emails from her agent and role offers, and editing a video she filmed earlier in the week.

School is taken a toll on her and her upload schedule became inconsistent. She went from uploading once or twice a week on YouTube to now once every other week instead.

Her phone began ringing while she was editing her video.

"Hello?"

Maya recognized the voice. It was Ty.

"Hey," Maya greeted him.

She had the call on speaker.

"Are you... are you doing anything today?"

"Um, no, but I am busy," Maya said.

"Oh, shit," Ty said. "What are you doing?"

"I'm editing a video for YouTube," Maya said.

"Okay. When your done, do you want to do something?"

"Ummm, it depends on when I finish editing the video. I'm nowhere near done editing the video."

"Oh. Okay. I guess we can hang out another time."

"Sorry, Ty."

"It's fine. Don't worry about it."

Maya hung up the phone after she and Ty talked on the phone for a bit longer.

Maya continued to edit her video for the rest of the afternoon.

The editing the video began stressing her out so much that she just decided to stop editing the video.

She placed her laptop back on her desk and went to the kitchen to get a snack to eat before dinner later in the day.

A few weeks went by.

Maya was able to get a consistent upload schedule on her YouTube channel. She went in for auditions and callbacks.

She heard back from the tv show she auditioned to find out that she got the role and they filmed the pilot and got it green lit.

"When are you going to film the show?" Sharon asked a few days before spring break began.

"Two weeks after school ends," Maya said. "We're going to begin on June fourth, I think."

Sharon nodded.

Now that spring break is around the corner, that meant that Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom premiere around the corner and they'll begin promoting the movie soon.

Maya went shopping with her mom, Madison, and Annie the previous weekend and Maya was able to find a few things she would wear to the premiere in June.

The week went by pretty quick and Maya was finally on spring break.

Maya was relieved to finally have a week off of school.

On Friday, instead of hanging out with her friends, she went home. She could've gone out with them and had fun, but decided against it.

my parents have been
going to house tours
the last few weeks
they found some nice
houses closer to the school and
my moms work

they all looked nice
and I think there was
one thats like a ten minute
walk from your place
that was the nicest houses

I hope so
my parents seem to
like that house the best
but are looking at other
houses to keep their
options open
my mom is calling me
