Hard times get better (Switz) (Abandoned)

Swagger's POV
I felt someone tap me so I pulled my blanket over my face. The person shook me lightly. "Ugh..." I said as I pulled the blanket off my face. Toby was standing there looking tired "hey there was no school so I let you sleep in, I thought I better tell you so you don't get up and freak out. There's a storm going on outside and it's pretty bad". "Ok thanks" I said as I yawned "no problem. I'm going to be lazy in my room" Toby said as she walked out of my room closing my door softly. "Have fun!" I said and I sat up. I went into my bathroom and started to get ready even though I didn't have anything to do.

-20 minutes later-

I finally finished by combing my hair and I went back to my bed. I made my bed and just laid on top of it. I heard a loud crash of thunder that scared me so bad that I fell off my bed onto the hard floor. "Fuck...ow" I said as I sat up and rubbed the back of my head. I stood up and decided that I should eat something. I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge. I saw a plate with a sandwich on it that had a note with my name on it. I grabbed the note and read it. It's from Toby's mom.
I still have to work today sadly. I did make you guys some lunch. I will see you guys later when I get home and we can have whatever you guys like
"Aw she's the sweetest" I said as I grabbed the plate and closed the fridge. I grabbed a bag of chips from the pantry and put some on the plate. I sat down at the table and happily ate my lunch.

-a couple hours later-

My phone started to ring, so I answered it.
*phone call starts*
"Hello?"
"SWAGS! HAVE YOU HEARD FROM CAM?"
It was mason
"Uh no why"
"HE WONT ANSWER AND I WAS TALKING TO-"
"Hold up Mason just please stop yelling and then explain"
He took a breath
"Ok sorry. I was talking to Cam earlier and he said he was walking. Idk why he would be out in this weather, but I heard a few other voices on his end and the call was cut. I'm really worried something has happened. It's been an hour"
Mason sounded genuinely worried and it made me very concerned
"I'll see if I can find him"
"Wait you're gonna go out there?"
He asked
"Who else is? I'll be careful ok? And I'll find Fitz"
He sniffed a little
"Ok call me later"
I smiled
"I will. See ya Mace"
*phone call ends*
I went into my room and grabbed my jacket and my shoes. I slipped on my shoes and my jacket. I grabbed the note that Toby's mom wrote on and wrote a note out on the back because I think Toby is asleep and I don't wanna wake her. I stepped outside the door and closed it. I put up my hood and started walking. I walked for about 15 minutes until I reached the park and I started to look around. I didn't see Fitz anywhere so I started walking away. I walked for another 15 minutes. I was now about a block away from Cam's house. I suddenly noticed some noise coming from under the bridge in the river. I jogged over the The fence and looked down. I saw Fitz tied up and the water was rising slowly as it started to rain harder. "FITZ!" I yelled and I pushed through a gap in the fence. I slid down the side and let myself fall to the ground into the water. I didn't pay attention to where I jumped down. I fell into the really deep end. I swam up to the surface and pushed myself up onto the rocks that led to Fitz. I ran over to him (well tried). I untied him and helped him up. He took the cloth that was in his mouth off and he grabbed my hand. "Come on we gotta get out before the doors op-" he was cut off by the giant wave of rain water came down from the drain gates. I braced myself and the water hit me like a truck. I tried to swim to the surface, but I couldn't get there. I tried harder until my head was above the water for a second. I gasped for air and the water pushed me back down. I tried again to get to the top. I reached my hand out of the water as everything started to go black. My lungs felt like they were ready to shrivel up. I felt someone grab my hand and pull me to the right. I blacked out.

-about a minute later-

I bolted awake and started to cough up water. I looked at who saved me and I saw Mason. "I came here as fast as I could. I saw you guys down there and then the water came and swept you away" he was panting. I looked around. Cam wasn't here. "Where's Fitz?" I asked and Mason shook his head. "Wait here" I said as I got up on my now shaky legs and pushed myself to run. "SWAGGER!" Mason yelled after me, but I continued to run faster than I ever have. I saw Cam struggling to stay above the water and he looked exhausted. I took off my jacket and I ran faster with it still in my hands. As soon as I got to the big bridge I wrapped my jacket around my hand and I punched my way through the bushes near the bottom. When I got to the bottom of the bridge I threw my jacket on the ground and took a deep breath. Fitz was close, so I jumped into the water. I swam to the top of the water and started to make my way towards him. I grabbed his hand and pulled him above water. He gasped for air and looked over at me. We were getting close to the last bridge which under that leads to the drop off. No one really knows what happens when you go down there and I really don't wanna find out. We tried to swim towards the shore, but it was no use. We were too tired, we couldn't get through the current. Fitz squeezed my hand as we got closer and closer to the drop off. "OI! GRAB ON!" I saw Mason hanging upside down from the bridge. When we got close enough Fitz reached and grabbed Mason's hands. I couldn't get a grip on Fitz. "AH!" I was on the edge when I felt Fitz grab my shirt. My legs were hanging off and my shirt was ripping. I heard a cars wheels screech and a bunch of voices. "HANG ON!" I knew those voices instantly. It was the others. I saw a rope get thrown over the bridge and Racc slid down and grabbed Cam's arm. Cam let go of Mason and the others pulled Mason up. Then the guys all started to pull Racc, Fitz, and me up. My shirt suddenly ripped and I started to fall down the drop off. "AH!" I screamed as I fell. "SWAGGER!" I heard Cam yell then I hit more water. I struggled to keep myself above the water. I was so tired. Everything started to go black again as I started to sink.

Fitz's POV
"SWAGGER!" I yelled as he fell down the drop off. The guys finally got me and Racc onto the bridge. I fell onto the ground as I was panting. I slowly got up and shook my head. I started running/stumbling. "FITZ!" I heard Smii7y yell as I ran through the neighborhood. I was looking for a storm drain that lead into the ground, but I couldn't find one. I ran for another 3 blocks and I finally got to one. I ran over to it "SWAGGER!" I yelled but there was no response. I suddenly got an idea and started running towards downtown. If I'm right which I have no idea if I am. The drop off was under the bridge. I think the bridges and the drop off all connect. I hope I'm right. Please be right.
I found the downtown bridge and looked over into the water. I couldn't see him anywhere. I started to cry slightly as I looked frantically for Swagger. I saw a piece of his shirt floating down the stream. I squinted my eyes as I tried to look deeper into the water. I suddenly saw him floating under water. I climbed over the rail and jumped in the water. I grabbed him and brought him above the water. I grabbed onto a stray pipe that was on the wall and I held onto the pipe and Swagger for dear life. I heard the car screech again as it stopped on the bridge. The guys came running to where I was and they got the rope back out. They threw the rope into the water and I let the pipe go and quickly grabbed the rope. As soon as I got a good grip all the guys started to pull me and Swagger out of the water. When we got to the rail the guys grabbed us and they pulled us over onto the road. I got back up and started to check on Swagger. He was out cold. I started to do CPR on him. I've been trying for 2 minutes. I started to cry "Swagger please" I said.

Swagger's POV
I jolted up (again) and started to cough. I looked around panting and I saw Fitz crying. He hugged me and helped me up. All our friends gave me hugs as they were crying too. Toby ran over to me and hugged me tightly. I hugged her back "you bastard! You could've died! Don't ever do that to me again!" She said as she hugged me. "I promise" I said and she pulled away. We were all trying to catch our breath. After a minute I saw Fitz start to sway then he fell and passed out "FITZ?!" I yelled as the guys caught him. "He'll be ok. He's just exhausted from swimming and running like 4 blocks" John and Smii7y said. I nodded. The guys and me all got Fitz into the car and we started to drive to the hospital to get him checked. We wanted to make sure he was really ok. I hope he is...
