Chapter 9

Daniel POV:

                “You’re Daniel right?” I turned my head and saw a girl standing next to my locker.

                “What’s it to you?” I look back to my locker and grab more papers and shove them into my bag.

                “Hey, no need for the attitude. I was just asking your name. I’m Ally by the way.” She smiled and held out her hand for me to shake.  I looked at her hand for a moment, decided what the hell, and shook it.

                “Now that wasn’t so bad was it? So ‘may or may not be Daniel’ what are your plans for lunch?” I honestly don’t know what to say to this girl. I’ve know her for less than a minute and she’s already acting as if were best friends. But then again it wasn’t so different with… I shooed the thought of him away for the moment being.

                “Um, I don’t really know. I normally sit by myself if that’s what you’re asking.” I finally decided to give her an answer.

                “Well, do you wanna sit with me today?”  I looked at the tall girl with the bright hazel eyes and long straight brown hair, and I actually smiled.

                “Sure. I’d like that.”

                “Well, come on then were going to be late.” She started walking away and I hurriedly close my locker door to follow, and led me over to a table that was occupied by three other girls and two boys.

                 I stopped dead in my tracks. What the hell had I signed myself up for? I don’t exactly have what most would call ‘good people skills’.

                Ally stopped, and looked at me for a moment as if analyzing the situation. She smiled and grabbed my wrist, painfully reminding me of Kellan just over a week ago, and pulled me over to the table and forced me to sit down.

                “Hey guys, this is Daniel. Daniel this is Jared, Mimi, Sarah, Kayla, and my boyfriend Josh” Ally introduced me to the tables occupants, pointing to each one as she listed them. I was met with a series of Hi’s, Hey’s, And what’s Up’s.

                I didn’t really know how I should respond to all these people. Duh! You say Hi! I must have looked like a fish out of water because someone behind me said:

                “Don’t worry, we don’t bite. Well except for my sister, but that’s only to Josh so there’s no need for you to worry.” Ally and Josh both blushed furiously while the new the boy who spoke got a hi five from Jared. He then sat down next to me.
