It was very busy when the two girls walked into the grill. Not only were they hungry but their little friend was coming for a visit.

"Do you think he'll freak out?"

"Oh, he's definetly going to freak out."

"Do you think he's by himself?"

Lizzie sighed. "Let's hope so." After finding a three seated table for them to sit at, a server approaches them with a menu.

The boy smiles. "Good evening, miss. Do you have in mind of something to drink or do you need a few moments?"

"No, it's fine. I'd like a sweet tea, please."

He nods. "Of course. I'll be back in a few." As soon as he leaves, the smell of anxiety fills the restaurant. Lizzie turns around and waves her arm.

The anxiety filled boy smiles and basically skips over to her. As soon as she stands up, she's engulfed in a hug. "Woah there pretty boy."

"I haven't seen you in forever. I deserve a hug."

"I wouldn't count two years as being forever, but okay." They take a seat, Lizzie shoving Jenna to the side. "Make some room, damn."

The boys eyes fills with curiosity. "Who are you talking to?"

"My friend. I havent told you about her yet. I'll explain it later. Now, I need your help."

"So you said. With what?"

"I need you to research everything you can about Mystic Falls and a family called the Mikaelsons, as far back as you can go. I also need you to keep an eye on someone for me, make friends with them. It's gonna be hard, but you need to pretend you know nothing of the supernatural."

It's silent for a moment, the boy taking everything in. "Okay... who am I befriending?"

"Her name is Caroline."

The boy wonders around the school, looking for the girl named Caroline. Lizzie compelled his way into the school, him being amazed every time.
While turning a corner, he sees two girls decorating a locker. He watches for awhile before deciding to walk up to them. "Hello." The two girls jump, turning towards him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I'm new."

The brown hair girl smiled. "It's okay."

"I was just wondering what the balloons and everything was for.. is it someone's birthday?"

"Our friend, Caroline, actually. We were wanting to surprise her."

"Oh? Well tell her I said happy birthday." And with that, he walked away.

The two girls turned toward each other. "Was that weird to you, Elena? I know he's new and all, but that conversation seemed a little weird."

"Yeah. We didn't even get his name."

Caroline walks into the school doors, bumping into someone, knocking them down. "Oh, I am so sorry! Are you alright?" Holding a hand out, she helps the boy up.

He chuckles. "I'm alright. Not the first time i've been knocked down by a girl." His eyes widen. "Oh, uh, no offense."

She laughs. "None taken. I haven't seen you here before, are you new?"

"Yes. Moved here from California."

"Ooo, California? I've always wanted to visit."

The boy smirks. "Trust me, it's not as exciting as you might think."

"Is that so?"

"That is so."

Holding out her hand, this time for a handshake, she smiles. "We'll, I'm Caroline." The boy shakes her hand, a smile on his face as well.

"Stiles."
