"Have you got any plans tonight?" I ask Bella after dinner as we head towards the direction of our rooms, once dessert was finished Leo waited three whole minutes before excusing himself from the table and Violet deiced to go with him. Not too long after that Enzo said he was going to head home as he had loads of work to do still.
Regina did a wonderful job at keeping her composure as her two sons left the dinner table as soon as they could and I watched as Bella quickly jumped in telling her mother about her latest gossip going on with her friends. While Regina loved her children and likely was very proud of them you could see the disappointment that they couldn't have given her twenty more minutes as a whole family.
Bella was just doing her best to fill in the gaps of her siblings so after thirty-two minutes of talking about Bella's friends we all called it a day. It was still early enough and I thought now could be a great opportunity to work on getting in with Bella build her trust and get as much information as I could.
"I was probably going to watch a film and paint my toenails, why got something else in mind?" She asks.
"More do you want some company, I did all my work this morning and apart from replying back to whoever sent me one back I haven't got much to do and not to mention no one is going to be replying to my emails at this time." We stop just outside her bedroom door and she opens the door and waves her arm for me to head on in.
"We could make it a real spa night I have some face masks in my bathroom." Bella heads right into the bathroom leaving the door wide open as she rummages through the cabinets.
"Nice room." The layout was the same as mine just more personalised to Bella, I pick up the family picture on her bedside table. It was likely taken a few years ago as apart from haircuts no one had changed, it even had Lorenzo in it standing in the centre looking proud.
"Thanks. Found them." Bella comes back out passing me a face mask."
"Has this always been your bedroom? I only ask because with such a big house I can't help but wonder where you three slept as tiny children." I laugh like its not big deal as I sit on her bed and make myself comfortable as she grabs a box off her dresser and brings it over to the bed, inside a bunch of nail polish bottles.
"The main part of the house originally, there are five bedrooms up there the main master suite and then what used to be the kid's room's and the spare room was turned into a playroom after our mother stopped trying for another kid. We all started moving around the house not long into our teens." We both sit and look through the box pulling out a few bottles and putting them on the bed before finding a different colour we liked.
"Must have been so cool growing up in such a big house, I've got three other siblings and although the house was never small it could soon feel cramped." This was all apart of getting her to open up give her enough to let her feel like she's getting to know me while getting enough tiny bits of information that it soon all adds up.
"Wow four kids, I thought having two siblings was bad enough. How many brothers and sisters?" I find a colour I like and kick off my shoes by the side of the bed.
"We're actually all adopted we have Jack who's the youngest then Penelope who's two years younger than me and then my twin Mason." Bella's eyes light up at the mention of a twin, something about being a twin always impresses people.
"That's so cool, who's older out of the two of you? And you have a sister that's the one thing I wanted."
"Annoyingly him although sometimes he acts younger than Jack, Penelope's pretty cool I was so excited when they said I was going to get a sister here I was thinking a little baby sister, I was ten so thought I was going to have a real-life baby doll then an eight-year-old comes in. I think it was better though being so close in age meant we had loads in common. Did Regina ever try to have more kids?"
