Emma’s POV
As me and Carol walked to the beach we decided to play some music from our phones. I had Miley Cyrus blasting out and Carol had Beyonce. The songs sounded so funny when they were playing at the same time and it set us off in a giggling fit.
When we could see the pier we tried to see if we could spot Megan. We could see a blonde guy standing awkwardly by himself and a blonde girl making her way towards him. She started to talk to him, and as we got closer we realised it was Megan talking to some guy we’d never seen before.
“What on Earth?” I asked, curious to find out more.
A couple of minutes passed and as we got closer we saw two other guys, a tall dark haired guy and a shorter black haired guy walking towards Megan and her mystery boy. They greeted the blonde guy and we knew we’d definitely never seen them before.
“Who are they?” Carol asked as I burst into an extreme fit of giggles.
The three guys walked away towards a car and started to get chairs out of the back of it. They took them down to the sand and set them up in a circle. The short dark haired boy went back to the car for the last couple of chairs and the two taller guys went back over to Megan.
We finally reached the pier, and still giggling we headed over to Megan and the guys.
“Hey guys!” Megan shouted as we walked over to her.
We looked from the blonde guy to the tall dark haired guy and back. Then we looked at each other and winked our approval. I noticed the darker of them staring at Carol and I almost let out a little chuckle. The shortest of the guys, who actually had darkish skin walked past us with one last chair in his hand. He took it down to the sand and put it with the others.
“Kendall, James, this is Carol and Emma.” Megan said, introducing us to her new friends.
We shook hands with Kendall and James and then winked at Megan. She gave us a look that said ‘If you even think about it you’re so dead!’ so we said nothing, but once again subsided into a fit of giggles.
We finally managed to calm down, but just as we stopped laughing Tosha crept up behind Megan and gave the biggest fright. It was so funny and that was me and Carol away again.
“Hi Tosha.” Carol said, high-fiving her as we headed down to the sand.
We all sat down, trying to take the chairs closest to each other for some strange reason. Not even trying to hide it James shuffled his chair closer to Carol. He totally started checking her out! He likes her! I bet anyone anything he likes her. Carlos (the darker skinned, black haired one) copied James’ example and shuffled (a little less obviously) towards Tosha. Okay so Carol and Tosha both had a guy into them and I was willing to be Kendall liked Megan too! He hadn’t taken his eyes off of her.
We talked for about five minutes, but fell silent when we heard two sets of footsteps clattering across the pier. Kendall muttered something under his breath, but I didn’t really catch what he said. Two guys threw themselves over the rail and landed gracefully and silently on the sand before running towards us and skidding to a halt. We were sprayed with sand, but one of them was really hot, so I didn’t mind.
The guy I thought was hotter was kind of staring at me, and when I noticed I accidentally giggled and blushed. Ooops, cover blown!
The taller of the two new arrivals sat down in the seat closest to him and the shorter of them sat down beside me. I’m pretty sure I blushed again!
“Dustin, Logan, this is Megan, Carol, Emma and Tosha. Girls, this is Dustin (the taller of them) and Logan (the shorter).” Kendall introduced his friends and Megan introduced us.
“Guys, I’m gonna go up and wait for Imke.” Megan said as she got up and walked away. Kendall looked like he was going to cry.
“Don’t worry, she’s totally into you!” I whispered to Kendall, although I’m not sure he heard me. Oh well, he liked her and she liked him back.
“Sooo…” James tried and failed to break the awkward silence between us. Luckily Megan and Imke (who looked absolutely stunning!) showed up moments later.
Everyone was introduced for the final time and we all saw Dustin sit up straighter and drool a little as Imke sat down beside Megan. Logan suggested we go into the water to cool off so we got up and headed towards the water.
“Race you to the water!” Carol yelled as she bolted towards the waves.
Megan was the last to reach the edge of the water, she’d stood on a crab as a little girl and didn’t want to risk it happening again.
“WATER FIGHT!” James yelled.
I ducked as Carol sent a handful of water flying at me. I noticed Logan soaking Carol and wondered if it was to get her back. Oh well, I focused on winning this water fight and just threw water at anyone who came near me.
Megan and Kendall had eyes for only each other, but that ended quickly when Megan went quickly back to the sand. I noticed Carol watching her so I decided to get her to tell me the rest. I turned back to the main event (the water fight) and jumped on Tosha’s back to duck her under the water. I was about to try and soak Carol again but she was more interested by the little scene on the beach. Kendall was with Megan who was rubbing her eyes. Her headache must have come back. I turned back to the water fight just as a tidal wave of water landed on my head, courtesy of Carlos.
