"This is how my dad had his Jason Blossom murder board before it was trashed."

Kevin kept his eyes on the newly-done, complex bulletin board that faced us in all of it's mysterious glory. Almost every major Riverdale resident was glued to the surface with either articles or any other evidence right next to their possibly guilty faces.

"Any leads on who did that? Or what they were looking for?" Jughead questioned, gnawing on his thumb nail, with a serious look on his face.

"Nope." Kevin said. turning to face Jughead, Betty and I. "No fingerprints. But they stole a bunch of files, background checks and all the video and audio tapes of police interviews."

I rolled my eyes, resting my head against the wall.
"Guys, why are we even wasting time solving a murder mystery about a boy who we all could give a damn about?"

"Who doesn't love a good murder mystery, sis?" Jughead smirked my way, pressing his lips together.

Betty looked over at me, a sigh escaping her mouth. "And, no matter how we feel about Jason, he still is a human being."

"Was." I mumbled under my breath, earning looks from everyone else.

Suddenly, a click came from the other side of the room, making us all turn towards the door.

It was Trev, Melody's brother.

"Hey Betty." He gave her a goofy smile and a small wave, making his way in.

"Trev, hi!"

I watched as Betty returned a smile, fixing her light blue sweater. Kevin gave me a look, to which I snorted at.

"Sorry to interrupt." Trev glanced over towards the board full of people, a bit of perplexion in his eyes.

"Oh no...uh, it's okay. We're just, uh, working on...-" Betty started, to which Jughead rudely interrupted.

"Our murder board."

I gnawed on my bottom lip, suppressing a laugh as Betty pressed her lips together, trying to ease the noticeable spooked-out Trev.

"Well, I just wanted to make sure we're still on for tomorrow?" He asked, giving us a nervous chuckle.

"Absolutely, it's a date."

My eyes instantly went to Jughead, who's thumb had slowly fallen from between his lips as he looked curiously at the blondie in the center of the room.

"I mean, I'll...I'll see you there." She stuttered, smiling to obviously block the embarrassment that had come over her.

We all continued to watch as the two weirdos, in my opinion, said their goodbyes and Betty turning towards us with her head down.

"Going on a date with Trev.... does Mama Cooper know about that?" Kevin questioned, sending her a look.

Betty scoffed, scrunching her face as if he was talking bullshit. "Kev, I'm not on house arrest."

"And yet, if she knew that you were going out, she'd be filled with questions about where it is and who you're with." I pointed out, lifting myself on top of one of the narrow desks.

There was a moment of silence where me and Kevin just all stared at her in disbelief.

Craning her neck, she sighed. "Okay, she's out of town at a Women in Journalism spa retreat. Anyway. It's-It's not a "date" date." She tried to explain, walking over to a pile of unused books.

"You just called it a date." My brother spoke up, his arms crossed. "You literally said, "it's a date."

"That's just my cover. Really, it's an intelligence gathering mission-"
