I stared at the locked door in front of me. Beyond this door was a vital piece to our plans. Kamukura himself. With his Ultimate Hope at our disposal, Junko's plans for worldwide despair would come to life. I watched as Junko pulled out what we needed to unlock the door, and smiled. I would make sure our plans would succeeded.
The doors slid open with a hiss, and we stepped into the room. Inside was a man with long, black hair and a suit. I assumed this was Kamukura. "Kamukura!" Junko squealed. "Oh my gosh, it's really you! I'm such a big fan. Ultimate Hope and all that! But is hope all that?" Junko questioned. I recognized that look. It was the expression she wore when we first met. A look of manipulation and dark intentions.
I knew she had manipulated me into despair, but that didn't matter. She did truly care about me. I didn't care if I had been manipulated by her. What was the point of stopping now? Like I would want to. I was finally free of life's monotony.
Suddenly, a large thud could be heard, as Junko seemed to be being attacked by the so-called Ultimate Hope. How pathetic of a title. I rushed into the scene, only to be knocked aside into the wall. Everything went black..
[About an hour later, in the school infirmirary]
I awoke in a white room, with beds around me. I slowly sat up, wincing a little from the sudden pain and ache of my body. I looked over to see Junko on one of the beds, and Mukuro, Junko's twin sister I had met when going to meet Junko after classes, sitting in a chair, most likely waiting for us to awake.
Mukuro looked over to me, and nodded. "Ah, you're awake. Junko is fine. She managed to arrange a meeting with the Ultimate Hope. She was having me stand outside, in case anything happened, so I was able to bring you both here. I told the nurse Junko tripped on the stairs, she's almost a disaster waiting to happen in those boots, and accidentally pushed you down as well. She bought it. Do you remember what happened?" she asked.
"Kamukura attacked us both, correct? I believe I remember everything. When I saw Junko about to get hurt, I rushed in, and most likely got hurt myself along with her." I responded. "Are you guys done yapping?" Junko complained from the bed next to me, apparently having woken up as well. I smiled. "I'm really glad you're okay, Junko. Now that we're awake, should we go meet with Kamukura?" I suggested. Junko and Mukuro nodded.
[At the meet up spot]
As Junko talked with Kamukura, I couldn't help but feel jealous. I tried to ignore it, and we stepped into the building where the student council of Hope's Peak was holding a meeting. Once Junko explained their situation to the poor students, chaos unfolded, and soon enough, blood was everywhere. It was all filled with absolute despair. I watched it all unfold with a feeling of absolute despair..these students had attended the same school as me. And they were dead, and I helped to make it so. The dreadful feeling of something wrong..it was so lovely. Such despair...
But the true despair was not knowing how Junko truly felt about me. If she were to hate me..that would be a despair more potent than death.
