•Newly appointed captain of the ship "Destiny" •Joined the Horizon Project to support his mother •Father died in a fire caused by an accident at an IPF (Interplanetary Federation) Earth office which left it to Hongjoong to find success and a good source of income •Set his sights on the Horizon Project and always wanted to be a pilot •Feels a lot of responsibility to be a leader, both at home and to his new crew •Still has a level of guilt at leaving his mother behind on Earth, even if it's for a good cause •Very knowledgable and confident in his field, good at delegating the things he doesn't know how to do •Not the most intimidating physically due to his small size, but very good at sweet talking when necessary •Has a lot of compassion for his team and forges a strong connection with them •Will do anything for them •A very hard worker, usually at the expense of his own health •Someone please tell him to go to bed •Creative critical thinker and very determined to reach his goals •Has a rough start getting along with some of his crew and a long journey ahead of him
