•The second engineer on the Destiny •Didn't want to join the Horizon Project because he didn't think he would pass the exam •His father (despite being a rich shareholder of IPF) blew their money on alcohol and Wooyoung couldn't afford study materials •His mother left them and moved away, only occasionally in contact with Wooyoung •He stayed with his father because he felt obligated to and out of fear of what his father would do if he left •Close friends with Yeosang, doesn't make friends easily at school •Invested in his friendship, so much that he joins the Horizon Project for Yeosang's sake •Partly out of spite, but also out of love •Passes the exam because he's always been great with figuring out how things work, despite not studying •A passionate and fiery person •Sticks to his guns and doesn't like being forced to change his mind •Challenges authority readily •Doesn't always know when to close his mouth •Cares very deeply for the people he accepts into his life •Not the best at accepting everyone, but once his walls are down, he loves unconditionally •Loyal to a fault •Prefers to do things himself, thinks he has to tackle his own problems
