Chapter 7.

"You lot go find the crystal, I've got pidge" Lance mumbled as his arms stayed hugging her tightly while she sobbed into his chest.

"take her outside, we meet you both up where hunk and Coran is waiting" Shiro replied and Lance nodded.

"Just com us if you need us" Keith mutter before the three ran off back to the main mansion. 

"Lets go, You dont need to stay here any longer" Lance whispered as he gentle picked up pidge like a princess, her head soon buried into the creak of his neck as he started walking towards the stairs. 

He felt pidge gripped his suit shirt a little and smiled, he was glad she was finally breaking down her walls of scars and letting them all out. Even if she did just break down like a child, he was happy she could now heal and have a future without fear. He soon reached the main floor of the mansion, not caring to look for the others and headed straight to the door. He barley opened it without dropping pidge and stepped outside, walking down the small steps. He started walking down the path before stopping as pidge tapped his chest.

"Can we go to the woods, I just need to see the place where we met once more" She whispered and he nodded before heading towards  the woods. 

It was a five minute walk and Lance was impressed the child version of pidge could make it this far after everything tommy did to her. He still remembered their first meeting and thinking she was a crying ghost who soul was trapped on this land. But he was glad he didnt run off back to his family ship and offered his hand to her instead. 

Lance stopped as he noticed pidge lift her head and he soon notice they were in the same spot he met her. He slowly placed her feet on the ground, her hand stayed a tight grip on his shirt until he took her hand, holding it as they both looked to the spot where she sat. 

Memories of the day they first met came flooding back to them both, small smiles on their lips as they remembered their messed up meeting. 

"why are you crying" He whispered as he remembered his first words, looking at the spot that once held the crying child he thought was beautiful even with her scars and wounds. 

"thank you" she mutter with a sweet smile as she remembered taking Lance hand, not understanding why she could trust a stranger so much.

"I'm still going to protect you" He replied with a gentle smile and turned to her. 

"and I'm never going to let go of your hand" She smiled softly and turned, looking into his blue eyes. 

"I will never leave your side, Katie" Lance whispered with a warm smile, leaning down before placing a sweet kiss on her lips. 

"together forever" Katie whispered with a gentle smile as she looked into lance blue eyes. She could hear her chains being ripped apart and her younger self free from the Pain she once only knew .. now she felt her younger self giggling as she ran into peace.
