Hey stanficc here! Thanks so much to everyone that read and voted the last chapters. I'll be sure to update at least once a day, maybe twice if I have time. Probably not tho. MAKE SURE YOU VOTE AND LEAVE A COMMENT. Anyways enjoy :)))

Olivia's POV
My hands were shaking as I climbed up the steps to the stage. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Tim Federle sitting down in a chair at the front of the room.
I was trailed closely by Joshua, who was smiling confidently.
Easy for him, he had already gotten the part.
I walked onto the front and centre of the stage and stopped. I could hear my heart, pounding like a hammer through my chest.
I was so nervous that I almost didn't even notice Josh step a little closer towards me.
I looked up at him as he reached for my hand.

Joshua's POV
Liv was shaking.
I wanted so badly just to wrap my arms around her and whisk her away.
But no...
She wanted this role,
She needed this role.
I stepped a little closer to her on stage, hoping to calm her nerves. I didn't help. She looked more nervous than ever.
I could visibly see the script in her hands shaking.
I gently reached down and held her hand, rubbing my thumb in circles on her palm.
She looked up at me, curiously.
"Relax Liv, you've got this." I whispered.
She smiled weakly.
She finally took a deep breath, letting go of my hand.

Olivia's POV
"Okay, Olivia, Josh, are you ready to show us what you've got?" Tim asked from his chair.
"Yes." Josh and I said in unison.
The nerves surprisingly faded away as I got into the script.
Josh was amazing. We were performing a scene from the original High school Musical movie between Troy and Gabriella.
The surrounding started to blur and all I could focus on were those curls.
As I performed, Josh's eye contact never faltered. Even for a moment.
I appreciated that he'd try this hard for a role that he didn't have to fight for anymore.
It felt like days, but finally we finished.
      The room was dead silent.
Finally, Tim started clapping, standing up.
The whole room quickly filled with excited chatter and applause.
Tim suddenly whispered something to his assistant before addressing us on stage.
"Thank you for auditioning, Olivia. You're really talented and I would personally like to see more of what you can do in the future. Thanks for coming out. We will let you know as soon as possible." Tim smiled.
"Thank you so much for this opportunity." I said graciously.
I could feel Josh's eyes on me as I climbed down the stairs, handing the script back to Tim. I forced myself not to look back and to be professional. Not to think about us holding hands.
As soon as I left the room I let out a breath that I didn't know that I was holding onto.
Thankfully I was saved from my own thoughts by a familiar voice.
"LIV!!!" Madison yelled, getting up from her chair. She started towards me.
The hall was now almost empty, my audition being one of the last.
"How did it go?" She asked, holding my shoulders.
"I don't know... I was so nervous." I admitted.
She purses her lips, "I bet you killed it. Come on, let's go get some ice cream to celebrate!" She laughed, dragging me by the arm out of the door.
As we got to her car, I heard someone shout, "OLIVIA, WAIT!"

Joshua's POV
What just happened?
Did she just leave without even saying goodbye, maybe a thank you?
Did I freak her out when I held her hand.
Oh my gosh. Josh you are a freaking idiot. Of course she wouldn't want you to hold her hand, you barely know her.
Without thinking I ran after her, handing the script to a chuckling Tim on the way out.
I bursted through the doors that opened into the audition hall.
I almost got whiplash as I craned my neck, trying to get a glimpse of her.
Not defeated yet, I sprinted to the doors leading to the parking lot.
I looked around, panting profusely, but there was no sign of her. I put my hand to my forehead, I was upset.
Suddenly, I caught a shimmer of her brown hair walking towards the parking lot.
I jogged towards her, trying to get her attention.
"OLIVIA, WAIT!"
My heart skipped a beat as she turned towards me. Wow, I was not prepared for this. I did not think about what I would say when I actually saw her.

Olivia's POV
I spun around 180 degrees as I heard my name being called. I could see Josh sprinting towards me, arms flailing. Madison, who had also turned around midst the commotion, gave me a funny look.
"Well this is new." Madison questioned, crossing her arms across her chest.
Finally, Josh started trying to catch his breath while talking, "I-I ju-u-st wanted to say," He took a deep breath, "I just wanted to say that you did a really good job."
Madison nervously chuckled, "Okay, I'm gonna be in there." She said point to her car.
"She seems nice." He remarked.
"She is." I humoured. "So. Is that all you came out here to tell me?" I asked, questioningly.
"Uhh, no. Actually I just wanted to apologize. For my behaviour earlier, I'm sorry if I upset you. I really want this to work, if you get the part." He smiled nervously, scratching his head.
"Behaviour? I can't recall anytime when you were rude towards me?" I laughed at his nervousness.
He was really attractive, in a sort of boy next door type of way.
Like that best friend that you've grown up with but you wake up one day and realize you might love them.
He smiled sheepishly, "Okay, for the record, I think you were the best Nini we saw. Tim looked impressed, I was for sure. I really hope that you get the part."
"Thanks." I smiled, tucking my hair behind my ear.
Why was I so nervous? Was it just me or was he getting closer?
He began to open his arms into an embrace which I slid into clumsily.
My head was somehow buried in the nook in his neck, my face beet red.
My arms were wrapped around his waist.
He smelled like a mixture of cologne and mint gum.
I buried my face deeper into his hug, trying to cover my face from him.
He hugged me a little tighter, his arms curling around my waist.
Suddenly, a car horn went off.
We jumped apart from each other.
I turned around only to see Madison Hu, laughing at me from her rear view mirror.
I mouthed at her, "You are dead to me."
It only made her laugh harder.
I turned to face Joshua who was now trying to regain his composure.
We stood there, staring at each other for what seemed like forever.
Suddenly, he glanced down at his watch, gasping.
"I'm so sorry, I have to go." He apologized.
He walked towards me and reached down, giving my hand a quick squeeze before sprinting off towards the auditions building.
I watched him run off before turning around and making my way back to the car.
I got into the passenger seat and buckled up.
Madison was silent as she started up the car.
Suddenly, she turned towards me, grinning from ear to ear. "Okay. Spill."
