Joshua's POV
"Wh-Wh-at are you doing here?" I gulped. I hadn't talked to her since the party. Were my hands always this clammy?
"Your sister invited me." She sighed, nonchalantly.
"You what?!" I said, staring at my sister.
She held her hands up, "Whoa, you didn't get to talk to her since the party so... a parting gift? Why, don't you want to see her?"
For a second Liz looked hurt, but the expression vanished from her face almost as quickly as it appeared.
I glanced behind me. Thank God. She was still talking to Tim.
"Of course I want to see you Liz..." I started, looking down at my hands.
Claire butted in, "Okay, but then what's the problem?"
"Hey Josh!" I heard from behind me. Oh God.
It took me a second to will myself to turn around.
I felt my heart drop. She stood there smiling at me, though I noticed her constant glances behind me, sizing them up.
"Hi. Hi Olivia." I managed to get out, scratching the back of my head.
"This is my sister, Claire." I said, pointing.
Olivia smiled holding out her hand, "Hi, nice to meet you."
"I've heard great things about you, Olivia." Claire chuckled, shaking Olivia's hand.
Olivia smiled up at me, "Is that so?"
"And this is Liz, my-" I started.
"Girlfriend." Claire interjected.
I couldn't tell who was more red, Liz or me.
"Whoa, okay hold up." Liz tried.
"Okay, there aren't dating. But they definitely are a thing." Claire continued.
"No, Claire, we really aren't." I began, my ears turning pink.
She looked at me, accusingly, "Well, Joshua, people can't kiss and be just friends."
I've never wanted to hurl my sister head first through a doorway more.
I literally face palmed, looking over to Olivia.
She was eerily calm, she stuck out her hand, "Hi, nice to meet you."
Liz took her hand hesitantly, "Ditto."
I think we all stared at each other for a good ten seconds, basking in the awkwardness of the present situation.
Suddenly, an Asian girl dressed in a red tracksuit burst through the revolving doors.
Olivia, who was right beside me yelled, "MADISON!!"
Oh right, Madison from the audition.
Madison turned towards her, and started running.
Olivia jumped onto Madison, wrapping her legs around her.

Olivia's POV
      "You didn't actually think that I would let my best friend go to Utah, without saying goodbye, right?" She smiled at me.
      "I thought you had a session for your show?" I said, letting go of her.
      "Eh, I think you're more important than a show, Liv." She laughed.
       I dragged her by the arm towards Josh, Liz and Claire.
      "This is my best friend, Madison Hu." I said proudly.
       She shook their hands smiling, before stopping on Joshua.
      "You... Liv has told me a lot about you." She stared at him. She has this thing, where she stares at people and makes their skin crawl. I would know, I've been the recipient a few times.
      Josh looked scared, "Yeah, um..." I could see him backing away.
      Like a switch, she flipped, "All good things of course!" She laughed, giving him a sweet smile.
      Josh audibly sighed in relief.
      Madison and Josh's family stayed with us until we checked in. They couldn't go further without a ticket.
      There were a lot of tears exchanged by Madison and I. Josh's mom was crying too, refusing to let go of him.
      Liz hugged Josh, "I'll text you, stay safe."

Joshua's POV
      We had just checked in and we were at the baggage drop off area. I easily threw my bag on the baggage carousel.
      I look over at Olivia, who was struggling to lift her bag off the ground.
      "Here, let me help you with that." I laughed, placing her bag on the carousel.
      "Thanks, but I could've done that myself." Her face looked red, probably from exertion.
      "Uh, sorry then?" I said blankly. Why was she mad at me? I didn't offend her right?
      Before I could ask her, she turned away from me and started talking to her mom.
      We then proceeded to go through security, emptying our carry ons. Thankfully, it was a breeze.
      We walked to our gate, B16. We had about 2 hours of wait time.
       "You know what honey, I could really use a  coffee right now. Could you go with Josh and get one for me?" Olivia's mom asked.
       Tim chimed in, "Me too!"
       Olivia looked at me, "Mom, i'll just go by myself. I don't think Josh would want to do that."
      I butted in, "Of course I would, I'd love to. Let's go."
      She rolled her eyes at me, before collecting their credit cards.
      We walked in silence to the Starbucks in the airport.
      Finally, I had to say something, "Why are you mad at me?"
      "I'm not mad at you." She blankly stated, continuing walking.
      I gently grabbed her arm, forcing her to face me.
      "Really? Because you seem mad." I whispered.
      She looked down at my hand that was holding her arm, "I'm not sure your girlfriend would appreciate that."
Wait. Is that what she's mad about?
      I chuckled, "Who, Liz? She's not my girlfriend."
      Not responding, she continued walking.
      I jogged next to her, trying to catch up, "You know what, I think you're jealous."
She stopped abruptly and turned towards me. She looked mad, "Jealous, you seriously think I'm jealous?" She shook her head.
She paused for a second, "Tell me Josh, if you really have no feelings for her, who kissed who first?"
When I didn't respond, she laughed, "That's what I thought."
We walked all the way to the Starbucks. Olivia ordered the coffees, and a caramel macchiato for herself.
Once we got the drinks, we walked back in silence to the gate.

Olivia's POV
I was not jealous, but if he had something going on with someone else, why would he hold my hand at the auditions.
I looked up at Joshua, sitting in the seat across from me, fully absorbed in his phone.
I put my headphones in and went on Instagram.
Liz McAlpine, I really shouldn't be doing this right now.
I typed her name in, immediately finding her account.
Okay so she wrote songs.
Josh had a thing for musicians I suppose.
I played a few of her songs, they were really good, she was very talented.
I could imagine us being friends, if not for the present situation.
I scrolled down further, till I got to one post that popped out to me. Joshua was in it, they were on a picnic.
Liz was laughing and Josh was eating a strawberry. They looked so happy.
It was captioned, "My best friend :)."

Liz McAlpine was very pretty.
