After what seemed like forever I was finally on my way to find my locker, I found it just as the bell rang ending first period. I kept my head slightly down as I spun my combination however I still felt everyone staring at me and it just made me want to melt into the wall so they couldn't see me anymore.

"Hi there, you're Elena right?" I had just shoved my bag in and held a notebook as well as a small binder, which held my schedule, to my chest as I looked over and saw a guy with short messy brown hair, tan skin and a roundish face.

"Uhm, do I know you?" I asked as I slammed my locker closed, he smiled and ran a hand through his hair while leaning against the other lockers by mine.

"Well my name's Brody Mayer and rumors have it that I'm the best tour guide to this school, if my sources are right and they almost always are you're the new student Elena." I smiled at him as I rose a brow, to which he smiled a bit sheepishly. "Also Derek Bryan is a friend of mine." I giggled and nodded my head as I stuck my hand out.

"I'm Elena Garcia but you can call me Lena, I hate my full name." He smiled and shook my hand. "Uhm, were you being serious about that tour guide?" I asked, he gave a nod of his head making me sigh in relief which made him laugh. "I'm sorry I just haven't been to a school with a layout like this." I hurriedly explained.

"It's okay, a lot of people haven't. What's your first class or second I guess?" I took a peek at my paper before responding.

"Pre-Calculus with Mr. Greene." I looked over to see Brody make a face which I laughed at. "Yeah, trust me when I say math is not my strongest subject." Brody and I made small talk as he led us to the math classroom, when we walked in Brody smiled at me as he went to his seat while the teacher greeted me.

"Ah yes, Ms. Garcia hello I'm Mr. Greene." I smiled polietly while handing him the piece of paper for him to sign that I had to return at the end of the day. "Here's a text book and how about you take a seat next to Ms. Saen in the back." I looked back and saw an asian girl smile and raise her hand in a small wave.

"Hi, I'm Shelby Saen." She introduced herself, as I shook her hand I looked down and gasped happily.

"You take photos too!" I said excitedly, she looked down at the camera bag she had stashed under her seat.

"Oh yeah, I take photos for the school paper. Do you like getting your picture taken?"

"Oh no, I take pictures too. I worked for the year book at my old school but I like taking nature photos best." We smiled at each other as Mr. Greene called everyone's attention to the front.

All throughout the lesson Shelby and I would talk softly about our photography hobby, it was nice to finally talk to someone who enjoyed taking pictures as much as I did. I promised Shelby I'd bring my camera tomorrow so we could compare models and lens we use.

"Ugh, finally." I breathed a sigh of relief when the bell rang ending the lesson.

"Yeah, trust me when I say Mr. Greene isn't exactly the most popular teacher in school." Shelby told me making us both laugh softly as we made our way out into the hallway. "Hey what's your next class?" She asked, I stopped in my tracks so I could look at my schedule which I had a feeling I would be doing alot today.

"Uh, English with Mr. Smith." I answered,  Shelby smiled and told me she had the same; after a quick stop at my locker to drop off my math things and grab a different small binder as well as a fresh notebook we hurried to English. As we walked in Shebly waved at me and quickly sat in her seat as I made my way to a middle aged man with dark ink hair which was slicked back, he wore glasses as well as a relaxed expression which turned into a friendly smile as he saw me.

"Hello, Ms. Garcia I presume?" He asked, I nodded and smiled briefly as I handed him my slip to sign. After doing so he handed me a sheet of paper with a list of material we would be studying as well as a copy of The Perks of Being a Wallflower which they began reading last week, I smiled and silently sighed in relief as he sat me next to Shelby.

"Hey what chapter are you guys on?" I asked her since class hadn't started yet.

"Hmm? Oh we don't read books together Mr. Smith gives us a dead line to read the book by, we're suppose to habe it read by next Friday." She explained, I nodded in understanding as I stared at the book on my desk and roughly thumbed through it to see how long it was; just over two hundred pages not too bad I thought to myself. I looked up and surveyed the room, most students openly stared at me which made me want the ground to swallow me whole so I wouldn't have to deal with their stares however I noticed one boy who seemed like he could care less.

He sat near the windows and stared at the front, he had reddish hair that looked windblown as if he had the windows down in the car as he drove to school. He had a sharp jaw with a slight upturned nose but if you weren't paying attention you wouldn't have noticed it, he also had really pale skin I mean I heard it doesn't exactly have sunshine here very often but it was like looking at one of those pale porcelain dolls almost alabaster like.

Before I could ask Shelby who he is Mr. Smith called the class to attention, as class drone on I sneaked peeks over at the pale boy before paying attention again and took notes when needed but one thing remained on my mind throughout class; who was the pale boy?
