^^^ Date outfit

As the last bell rang I all but sprinted to my locker to quickly shove my homework in my bag and yanking it out so I could hurry to my car and speed home, you might be asking why am I in such a rush?

Well the ever so kind and thoughtful Derek decided instead of picking me up at seven he was picking me up at six since apparently  he and his mom got in an argument just before lunch over the phone and he now has a curfew of nine which no matter how much he fought for another two hours his mom wouldn't budge. So here I am sprinting upstairs so I can finish my homework as quick as possible before I had to start getting ready for the date.

"Honey?" I heard mum ask from downstairs as I took my Earth Science homework out.

"Sorry mum! Can't talk, doing homework!" I called from my bed and I tried to answer questions as quickly as possible but still doing so accurately, thankfully it didn't take me too long then I was pulling out my History book next; this subject would take longer since I wasn't that great at History, however there was a knock on my door after looking up quickly I saw it was only Aunt Sunni.

"Hey kiddo, everthing okay?" She asked gently, she probably thought I was still upset at Jasper from yesteday and trust me I still was but I was also concerned as to why he didn't show up to school today.

"I'm fine Aunt Sunni, I'm sorry if you need help with something but I really need to finish my homework before four thirty." I told her, it would take me about half an hour to shower then an hour to do my hair, make up and to get dressed.

"What's the rush?" She asked, I sighed as I read through a paragraph searching for an answer but also too distracted by Aunt Sunni, Jasper and also what Alex said during first period; did Derek really see me more than a friend? I hope not, I don't really see him that way but I also don't see him as a friend. I made the mistake of making a friend last time and I saw how well that ended up, but as I thought of that I immediately thought of Shelby. I really liked her but could I trust her as a friend? I trusted someone last time and that was one of the biggest mistakes of my life and I don't want a repeat of that. "Elena?" Aunt Sunni prodded, I realized I hadn't answered her question.

"Oh sorry, uh I need to be done by four thirty so I can start getting ready." I told her which only made her furrow her eyebrows.

"For what?" She asked, I cocked my head in confusion; didn't I tell them?

"Uh, didn't I tell you and mum Derek is taking me on the date tonight?" I asked, maybe I didn't tell them?

"What? Tonight?! Elena, why didn't you say so sooner!" She all but screeched, yup definately forgot to tell them.

"I'm going on a date tonight with Derek, there I told you." I told her before going back to my history book.

"Oh, Elena! Forget the homework, we have to figure out what you'll wear, how you'll do your hair, ooh and your make up!"

"Already figured out." I said as I tried to concentrate but it wasn't really working so I gave up and decided I'd do it when I got back.

"Well show me!" I rolled my eyes at her acting like a high school girl, I got up however and showed her what I'm wearing. (A/N: up top) "Oh, you're wearing that?" She asked clearly unimpressed, I rose my brow as I looked from her to the outfit.

"What's wrong with it?" I asked, she rolled her eyes as she walked up to my closet and sifted through it before pulling out a tight black mini dress she got for me a while ago but I've never worn it which proves so by the tags it still has on it.

"Ooh wear this, you'll knock his socks off. I can't believe you've never worn this yet, Lena it still has the tags on it!" She scolded me which I answered by rolling my eyes.

"Okay for one, y'know it's not my style. Second, I don't want to knock his socks off. That'd mean he'd ask me on a second date and I don't want to go on a second date with him."

"Why not? He might be a nice boy, you might like him."

"I don't like him like that, I'm only going on this date to pay him back for letting me get away with not paying the whole bill for that pizza." I told her as I grabbed the dress from her and put it back.

"So you're telling me if he just normally asked you out you'd say no?"

"Yep." I looked over at her after a moment of silence to see hee scowling at me with her arms crossed. "What?"

      "Lena, why won't you date?"

"Because, I don't want a boyfriend right now."

"No, there's more to it than that."

"Believe what you Auntie, look I'm gonna go shower." I told her as I grabbed my towel but a hand on my shoulder made me look over at her.

"What's the real reason?" I sighed and ground my teeth together, why is she so nosy in my love life anyways?

"Fine, if I tell you will you leave me to get ready in peace?" I didn't wait for an answer. "I don't want a repeat with Miranda, so while I'm still in high school I'm not gonna date or make friends." I told her simply before making my way out and to the bathroom for a quick shower. After twenty minutes I step out with a towel around my body and hair, however I groan as I see Aunt Sunni hasn't moved from her spot in my room as I step back in. However as I dress and blow dry my hair she doesn't say a word, it doesn't really bother me as I set to work on straightening my hair; but of course that silence is short lived.

"Are you really not gonna make any friends? Who will you talk to, sit at lunch with, vent to about the annoying teachers?" I furrow my brows as I work on the current layer of hair.

"I'll tell the people I met on my first day, Shelby, Alex, Faith, Brody, Jackson and Derek." I told her which made her perk up for some odd reason.

"Oh, so you do have friends! Whew, I was worried for a minute."

"Why were you worried, and they aren't my friends. They're just people I talk to at school."

"Lena, just because Miranda did you dirty doesn't mean everyone you meet will."

"And you don't know that they won't do me dirty, I'm just advoiding it. No friends means not getting stabbed in the back, there problem solved." I said as I quickly finished my hair and turned the hair tool off, I looked to the door as Aunt Sunni paused by it before heading out however before doing so she turned back to me with a serious expression on her face.

"You'll learn soon enough that having no friends is going to be so lonely and you'll wish you had listen to me Elena, just think about that." I sighed heavily as she left, great now Aunt Sunni is mad at me good going Lena I scolded myself.
