"You can sit with me and my friends if you want." I looked over at Shelby as I walked to my locker and gave her a smile.

"Thanks I feel like I would've stuck out even more if I had sat by myself." I told her, we stopped at my locker long enough for me to toss my things inside and grab my phone before we made our way to the canteen. After quickly grabbing an apple, a cup of yogurt and a water Shelby and I made our way to a table with four other people.

"Hey Shelby, are you gonna introduce us to your friend?" A boy with light brown hair asked.

"Hey guys, this is Elena Garcia." Shelby introduced me but I quickly corrected her.

"Oh just call me Lena." A girl with long dark hair smiled at me.

"Oh you're the new girl right?" I nodded as I took a bite of my apple then Shelby started pointing out people.

"That's Faith Faye she's the captain of the volleyball team." Faith gave me a wave before going back to her food. "Then that's Jackson Bryer, he's on the basketball team along with Brody Mayer." I gave Brody a smile along with Jackson who both smiled at me, Brody scooted over and slung his arm around my shoulders.

"Yeah, Lena is my homegirl." He told everyone.

"Your homegirl?" Jackson asked who rose an eyebrow in disbelief, however I felt a hand on the back of my chair.

"Nah my girl." I felt someone kiss my cheek then Brody's arm fell from my shoulder, I looked over to see Derek is who kissed my cheek and had pulled Brody's chair from under him before running away with Brody chasing him and Jackson following.

      "Oh that's--"

"Derek Bryan, I met him last night. He had delivered a pizza to my house." I explained, Shelby nodded as she took a sip of water.

"Yeah, he works at the local pizza parlor." She told me, I nodded before looking around the table; a short girl with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes smiled at me brightly.

"Hi, I'm Alex Clearwater." She quickly introduced herself, I gave her a smile in return when suddenly I felt a gust of cold air hit me which made me shiver; looking over I saw a group of people enter the canteen, the pale boy from english being with them.

"Who are they?" I asked intruiged, Shelby and Faith looked to see where I was talking about.

"Oh, that's the Cullens." Shelby told me, Faith and Alex scooted closer and started talking in hushed tones as if it was a secret no one should know about.

"Uhm, they're Dr. and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They moved here from somewhere up north like the start of sophomore year, where was it again Alex?" Faith looked to the blonde girl who thought for a moment.

"Uh I think it was Alaska or something, anyways they don't talk to anyone and are always together."

"Yeah because they're like together together, okay so the blonde girl that's Rosalie and she's with Emmett the guy who looks like he could be on steroids. I'm not even sure it's legal." Faith whispered, I glanced at the couple she described. I furrowed my brows when I saw Emmett, something about him reminded me of someone but I couldn't remember who; I looked back over to the table when I heard Shelby scoff.

"Faith we've been over this, they aren't related."

"Yeah but they live together, it's weird. Okay, the brown haired girl is Bella and she's with Edward the lanky guy with red brown hair. Neither of them leave the other's side except for a few classes they don't have together, it's like if one leaves the other will die without them." I looked over and saw she was talking about the pale boy from english class and he held hands with the brown hair girl next to him. "Then the other girl with long brown hair is Ren... How do you pronounce her name again Shelby?"

      "Her name is Renesmee."

"Anyways, then the girl with short dark hair is Alice she's really weird and she's with Russel the guy who looks like he's in pain. Dr. Cullen is like a foster dad/match maker." Faith joked, Alex giggled and smiled dreamily.

"Maybe he'll adopt me." I looked at the door as one last boy came to catch up with the group.

"What about him?" I asked, all three girls looked over to see who I was talking about.

"That's Jasper Hale, he's Rosalie and Russel's triplet. I think Mrs. Cullen is their aunt or something? Anyways he's totally gorgeous obviously but apparently there's no one in Forks good enough for him. Like I care y'know? Anyways don't waste your time, he doesn't date." The way Faith described it made me think she's been turned down more than once by him.

In my opinion Jasper was the most attractive of all his siblings, even though they all looked like they could pass for models and not high school students; I also noticed all of his siblings have golden colored eyes unlike his dark amber ones, I wonder if  those are their real eye color or if they're contacts I thought.

Jasper had short honey colored hair, a strong looking jaw and a straight nose but as if they sensed me staring both Jasper and his brother Edward looked over at me. Though they caught me staring I couldn't look away, Edward frowned as he stared at me but when Bella touched his arm he looked at her and said something that made both of them look at me in confusion. I tilted my head in a confused manner then looked to Jasper who looked at me in concentration, I furrowed my brows in uncertainty before I looked away and paid attention to the conversation at the table.

I sighed as I made my way into the last class of the day, History with Mr. Williams. "Ah yes, hello miss Garcia." He greeted me, I smiled at him as I handed over my slip for the last and final time today thank god; I was getting really tired of this stupid slip. "Here you are, we're just about to start the civil war but I think you'll catch up quickly. Just follow along today and you can take a seat next to, Mr. Hale." He told me after handing me a history text book and taking a pause to survey the room, however when he said Hale I froze for a moment before managing a nod as I walked to the back of the room where I noticed the honey haired boy from lunch.

"Hello I'm Elena Garcia, but you can call me Lena." I introduced myself after I sat down and held out my hand, Jasper looked at my hand then gave me a scowl before he turned to face the front; okay can you possibly say douche any louder? I thought, before I could ask him what his problem was Mr. Williams started a lecture about the Battle of Fort Sumter. However throughout the entire class I kept feeling Jasper stare at me but when I'd look at him he'd look away and lean away from me, sighing I'd turn back and continue to take notes.

When the bell rang Jasper was the first one out, I furrowed my brows in confusion before subtly bringing a lock of my hair to my nose to sniff as I gathered my things but all I could smell was my shampoo and conditioner; now in a sour mood I stomped to my locker to gather my homework before making my way to the office to drop my attendance slip off.

"Hello dear, how was your first day?" The same secretary from this morning asked, I sighed as I thought about it. All the students staring at me all day, getting asked where I came from and what made me and my family move to Forks, and having a mysterious boy hate me for no apparent reason.

"It's a day I won't forget." I told her before making my way outside and to my car, I looked over my shoulder before I climbed in and saw all the Cullens stare at me; I shook my head and quickly ducked into my car before slowly making my way back home. On the drive I thought about Jasper and how he acted, he's a strange one for sure I told myself before parking next to Aunt Sunni's silver Rolls Royce; I quickly decided not to worry about Jasper Hale and why he hated me for no reason, however I had a feeling that my resolve wouldn't last long.
