Lurking Shadows

            "Well when it comes to oil no one is better to ask than oil baron himself, isn't that right Amphitere?" Akio smirked.

            "Dragon Amphitere what is he talking about, do you know anything about this? Judge asked.

             "What's he going to say? Judge, this oil here is from Amphitere domain and if you know this oil was first experimented on in past but due to its adverse effect the experiment was called out failed, and that this oil shouldn't be used and was forbidden. But Amphitere still used this forbidden oil and tried to endangered domains and.....," Akio was cut off because suddenly fog came in and the people panicked and then suddenly gunshot was heard. Everyone got shocked and terrified. After a while when fog disappeared, everyone found Amphitere dead. No one could believe their eyes.

Everyone was moved out of the court. The officers took care of the body and were asked not to go near the place of the dead body or in court room. Kurome was freed and she was again retained with the title of Dragon Hydra. The chief was arrested and had punishment of life imprisonment. He was crying, embarrassed, ashamed, Begged to the Kurome but she cannot, cause laws weren't in her hand.

Everyone was happy that Kurome was out of this, but no one was able to celebrate it because of the shocking death of Amphitere.

Kurome and the gang was leaving, then Kurome saw Makoto standing a little afar hiding behind the piller completely ashamed and didn't knew how to face Kurome.
  
            "You have something to say Makoto?" Kurome shouted while staring on him. "I am so sorrrry, I really really apologise. I am ashamed of what I did. It is unforgivable but still I beg for your forgiveness." Makoto sobbed completely bowing on the ground. "And why should I......?!" "Kurome!!!" Akio interrupted. "Yes, yes, ok!! Makoto you don't have to apologise. Akio told me what happened. It's fine you were compromised. It's not like you did it on purpose. Come on let's go home." Kurome said with a gentle smile. "Seriously, how much of a kind person you can be? I was overthinking but the second she found the truth, it's like there's no conflict between us." Makoto thought to himself looking up to her.

          "Congratulations *confetti thrown* after such a long time you are back, Lady Kurome." Sayako shouts with joy. Everyone claps. "Oh my god!! thank you everyone I am really happy to be back!!" Kurome said with joy.

          Once everyone got freshan up the three dragon sat down together. "Hash *giving a sigh* finally, you are back, I was so worried how you must had been." Aoi said. "Well, it was pretty silent since you weren't around." Akio said. Aoi nodded.

          "You two...., But I must thank you two. If it weren't for you I wouldn't had been freed. I owe you two a big debt. Thank you so much." Kurome said holding her head low with a few tears in her eyes and big genuine smile on her face.

            "You fool, it was you who did it we just put all the pieces together, nothing else." Aoi said smirking. "Umm, well I guess that's right, if you hadn't gone through all the investigation and didn't found the clue,  it would have been hard for us to get you out of the situation." Akio said assuring Kurome.

          "Why, what happened why you look so down?" Aoi said, worried. "Probably because of Amphitere's death!!, Right." Akio said, sipping his tea. "Well, yes, we can't celebrate yet. From the way I look it, I feel like Amphitere was just a pawn and the real culprit is still hiding behind the shadows.

              "You are right, we cannot." Akio said in serious tone. "I too feel like there was someone!!" Makoto said from behind. "Huhh? What are you talking about?" Kurome asked him. "When Amphitere confined me one time I couldn't see his face but there was someone. And Amphitere was really being respective of him. I am sure of it!" Makoto said. "I agree, when the shot was fired I happen to see a shadow through the mist...," Kurome said.

            "Who do you all think would be the killer!!!" Kurome asked. They all were nodding no. "I can't really think of anyone."  Aoi said. "What happened to your parents now, are they safe." Kurome asked, worried. "Oh they are safe, Fire Dragon took care of it. He secured my parents and other civilians in Amphitere domain." Makoto said happily. "Oh, that's so good now you can finally meet them." Kurome smiled.

Akio and Kurome were walking down the hallway. "Well, I would be leaving now, this all stuff was so messy. Finally I can put my mind at rest for a while." Akio said. "Really, Akio I cannot thank you enough, for what you did. You really fulfilled my expectations. If it weren't for you and Aoi I don't know how I would have gone out of this. Thank you so much." Kurome gave a beautiful smile. Akio spread his arms and hugged Kurome. "I was really........, So worried. I cannot even imagine what it would have been to me if something would have happened to you." Akio said in low voice. "It's fine, I am back now." Kurome said hugging him back. "Oh my god don't keep me out of this." Aoi shouted from behind. "Come on, bring it in." Kurome said. Those three group hugged. "Ok, ok that's enough!!" Akio said. And they giggled.

        Kurome see them off. Makoto also left to Amphitere domain."It's great, now everything's back on track." Honda said. "No, not yet the real storm is yet to come!!!" Kurome tensely responded.
