Newts pov
"Where is that shank" I grumble "she's been away way too long. I'm gonna go look for her"
Putting down my spade I walk into the woods heading for where the manure was.
I stop short when I notice the blood.
"Mia" I call anxiously. "Red where are you" that's when I notice her. She's on the unconscious on the ground. There are cuts and bruises all over her. I hastily lift her up and begin moving as fast as possible back to the glade.
The first person I notice when I get out the woods is alby.
"Alby" I yell
He looks up from his work and instantly drop whatever he was doing and races across. The other gladers were racing across now knowing something was wrong.
"Newt what happened" alby asks.
"I don't know. She was taking too long to get back so I went to look for her and found her like this." I reply.
His eyes widen as he notices the extent of the damage.
"Quick. We need to get her to the med jacks." He says taking her from me.
I nod and run ahead to let them know.
"Newt?" Jeff asks." What's up"
"its mia? She's. She's in a bad way. Alby bringing her now" I state
Just at that moment alby walks in with mia and places her on one of the beds.
"Jeeze" Jeff says. "We need that shirt off her quickly" he says "you two out. She'd kill me if she knew you two were here"
We are literally shoved out of the hut and the door slams behind us.
"Newt. Who's that" Teresa asks.
"Mia" I mutter quietly "that was mia"
There was mutters of who did it. Why did they do it?
"Less than two days here and she's already in really bad trouble." Alby mumbles.
"Who would have done it alby" I ask shaking my head.
"I don't know newt. All we can do is waiting" he replies.
For the next few hours we all sit in front of the hut. We should really be working but right now. No one cared.
Thomas and Minho return and the med jacks still aren't out.
"What's happened?" Thomas asks Teresa when he finally gets back from the hut.
"It's mia. Someone beat her up pretty bad" she mutters back
Minho walks up to us all with a frown.
"Newt. What's happening" he asks.
"Mia. She's pretty beaten up" I mumble.
Jeff walks out of the hut and we all jump to our feet.
"How is she" I ask quickly.
"She's going to be alright" Jeff states.
I let out a sigh of relief.
"How bad" alby asks.
"On a scale of 1 to 10" he replies "11. She's awake now. Two people at a time"
"Newt you and me" alby asks. I nod instantly.
I walk into the hut first and quickly find mia. She looks bruised and broken. She turns towards me as I walk in.
"Hey newt" her voice is hoarse.
"What happened red" I ask
"I don't know. I really don't remember" she replies with a sigh and a shake of her head.
