Such Eccentric Creatures, Aren't They? by Naqibah

There are just not enough words to describe how valuable pets are. They are just precious, adorable, interesting creatures that we love unconditionally. I believe, it is undoubtedly odd how some people (like me) prefer to adopt animals than being with actual human beings. Although it is ridiculous when put as so, they are just – they are beyond words. I used to have a pet – and I want one now but sadly I can't (live with the parents, live by their rules). Alas, this is my story of when I used to have pets. Cheers!

Pets are eccentric creatures, aren't they?

They can talk,

They can walk,

They can fly,

They can reproduce,

They can sing,

They can dance,

They can do a lot of stuff that we, humans, see as remarkable!

They can do a lot of stuff that we, as humans, sometimes can't do – it's beyond our capabilities!
Pets are eccentric creatures, aren't they?

They can be in any form of creatures,

They can be venomous yet tender – like tarantulas

They can be conceited yet soft – like cats

They can be playful and loyal at the same time – like dogs

They can be shy but – god knows – do they know how to bite – like turtles

Intriguing facts they have,

It's interesting to discover these 'underrated' facts!
Pets are eccentric creatures, aren't they?

A special bond can be created between two creatures – a human and an animal,

A bond that is utterly special that it hurts sometimes,

It hurts even more – when they leave,

Forever.
This feeling may be perceived as underrated by some,

Only (genuine) pet owners know this feeling very well when one leaves.
Finding a replacement is hard,

They are not the same as the previous ones,

They don't act the same way,

The bond created is different – way different.
It's one weird life,

Owning a pet,

Creating this bond with a pet – and not a human,

Choosing the life of having pets rather than children – which I might consider,

Getting furious when they act up or throw a tantrum,

Feeling devastated when they leave (permanently),

But it will always be a wonderful life to have a pet.

Especially, when they eventually become your best buddy,

Better yet, when they eventually become a part of your life,

Your family.
Cheers!
