Lia went to her parents's house to stay the night. walking up to her room, she suddenly saw something under the bed. Well you see, the family has a house in korea however they have always lived in Canada. as a matter of fact, lia doesn't remember anything about korea.
because of her university, the family decided to move back to korea and stay in their stranded house. by stranded i mean the house they used to live in all those years ago that was vacant for around 15 years because they lived in canada (If that makes sense lmao).
feeling much rather curious about the box, lia decided it would be fun to check it out.
And yes, just like soobin, it was a box of her old stuff. as a matter of fact, stuff she doesn't even know she owns.
One among all that caught her eye is a fairy tale book. Lia doesn't know why, but she somehow felt a connection with the book. As if it was the most precious thing ever. staring at the book with confused eyes, lia suddenly felt a huge headache that caused her to scream and held on to her head in pain.
well you see, lia doesn't remember a big part of her childhood days. it was as if nothing ever happened. as soon as she saw this fairy tale book, a slight memory came back. it was from a guy. it seemed as if they were both so close. thats it. after that, the vision stopped.
curious, lia opened the book. and that ladies and gentlemen is how this story begins..
It was a polaroid picture. with a sentence written on the bottom in messy handwriting.
Me and Binnie-26 October 2004
Binnie? why does that sound so familiar? One solution. parents.
"Mom, dad? Why can't i remember anything in my childhood?" Lia asked during dinner
Usually, they'd say, "Oh Jisu you were so young back then.. its natural to forget!" Lia grew up believing in that story. But it always bugs her and she feels like they are lying. and the name jisu.. well jisu is a name only her parents know.. or so she thought..
Anyway, Lia was expecting the same lame story, but today it's different...
"Honey.. i think we have to tell her now.." her dad said to her mom.
Mrs. Choi nodded before taking a deep breath, "oh boy, this'll be one heck of a roller coaster." she commented before properly starting.
"Jisu.." she started.
Lia looked at her mom in full curiosity, "yes mom?"
"We have to tell you something.. and its not just something.. its very serious." her dad said sternly.. this tone. mr choi barely uses this tone. he is always a playful and goofy person but this time, it was serious.
"Years ago, back when you were 5, you were out playing outside with your best friend.. then you got hit by a truck.. You were in a coma for 2 years, before we moved to Canada."
Lia's eyes were starting to weld up with water. Why?
For one: she didn't know this terrible accident even happen!
Two: Lia had a best friend. And she left whoever this is. Now, she cant even remember them! she doesn't even know their name, their gender, SHE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! was this... binnie? but still, binnie could be a girl's name and the voice lia heard in her memory/vision is a child's voice and generally children sound very similar- despite their genders.
Lia simply nodded slightly before excusing herself and going up to her room and flopping down on the bed. not knowing how to react or feel about all this.
"who the hell is binnie?"
