It's been about two weeks since I've met the caramel colored beauty and I still couldn't shake her out of my head. Her voice echoed in my head every few seconds I would think about her. I wish she would have just told me her damn name. I dreamed of her delicious lips for so long. I have to find her. She must stay in the area or somewhere near the rec center. Think Oliver. Just think.

Work was kind of slow today. I had five patients at the office, then Ida and baby Eve at the medical center. Eve had to get a lumbar puncture so we could see what was the cause of her high fever. Whenever I wasn't working at the medical center, Marvin kept me posted on the little one.

Marvin and myself were present when Doctor Thomson had Ida sign the release forms and permission to proceed with the lumbar puncture. Ida shed a few tears but she held it together. We silently watched as she dressed Eve in the little blue gown and white socks. Marvin and I pushed the little bed down the huge hallway as doctor Thomson continuously filled Ida with more information.

Ida's face was void of any emotion. Her eyes were dull and lifeless. Just looking at Ida broke my heart. We had finally reached the large elevator. Every two seconds Ida would peak into the little bed to watch Eve sleep or brush her hair from around her eyes.

"You're going to do great Eve. Mommy will be waiting right here for you." Ida managed to say as her voice began to crack.

It was tough watching her. I wiped a few tears from my eyes myself.  I glanced over at Marvin who was wiping a few tears from his eyes too. I guess Ida and Eve were getting to Marvin too. The elevator doors opened as we reached the picu floor. Ida nuzzled Eve's hair one last time before Doctor Thomson and Marvin wheeled her into the operating room. One loan stray tear fell from her eye as we watched them wheel away her bundle of joy.

"Come with me Ida, you can't go with them."

Ida hung her head low to the ground as we walked to the waiting room. We walked down another long hallway before we reached the waiting room. There were toys, a few chairs and magazines. Ida walked over to the window and placed her hand on the seal of the window. My heart shattered into a million pieces for her.

"Ida would you like me to stay with you until Doctor Thomson comes back?"

"No thank you, I'll be okay."

Taking the hint I went out into the hallway, leaving Ida alone in the waiting room. I pull out my phone and text Charity. I haven't heard from her since she left for Monaco. I have called her phone and left messages but this was getting ridiculous. My phone buzzed in my pocket. It's charity.

I miss you too and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have overreacted to Marvin and his bullshit.

I'm sorry again for his joke, it wasn't nice. Your ring is sitting in your box where your pictures are if you want it still. If you still want me still that is..

"There just now getting started on Eve. She shouldn't be back there too long." Marvins says with a cheerful voice.

"Oh that's good. Do you think she'll be okay?"

"Yeah, she was still sleeping when I left."

"Oh well that's good. So Charity finally texted me back."

  "So what does that mean?"

  "Im still engaged dumb dumb."

"Sure you are, but I need a huge favor from you."

  "Huh what is it now?"

"Could you stop by the bookstore on Main Street? I think it's called Leslie's Open Book, if I'm not mistaken. "
