Continuation of Readers Pov.
Okay, getting your book is harder than you thought.
Every time you tried to bring up the abandoned library Yancy either is daydreaming and doesn't hear you, or he's busy trying not to tackle Google, Google, on the other hand, was ignoring you entirely or updating his system. It was getting on your nerves, you'd say something if you weren't so intimidated by him.
Now, you were waiting for Google's 100th update to finish.
You've tried to tell them for three days, it was impossible! You were getting more frustrated the longer you had to wait, it was almost the end of your week, you'd have new caretakers soon, you weren't sad about that- just angry. You needed to get that book, that book felt like it was key to regain all your memories.
You wanted to know what those visions mean, you, wanted to know what happened before the library, before waking up and it was getting annoying. You'd find yourself clenching your fist more, glaring, gritting your teeth, becoming more sharper in your responses with those two. They either didn't notice or didn't care.
You plopped your chin onto your hand, frowning.
You were so lucky to get an ex-prisoner and a humanity-hating robot!
You rolled your eyes internally.
Your blood was boiling, as a glimpse of Dark caught your eye, his grey figure passing the room's door, his chin held high. You clenched your fist, you hated that he thought he was above everyone, you bet he thinks he's above the law, you growled.
That damned title was getting to his head, just because he's mayor doesn't mean he's above everything and everyone. He needed a life lesson you'd think, to have his body stolen he'd be more apathetic and reasonable but, he's clouded with that dangerous rage- your eyes widen, you froze, straightening your back, your mouth slightly agape.
How, how did you know that? What stolen body? Mayor? Where did that come from? Was it another one of those visions? Another reason to get that book, nothing made sense, who's Dark, why's the Host so familiar towards you, and what happened before you fainted in the Hosts room? Why was Dark so against Host saying your name, and why is he saying it now? Why was he so aggressive when you were brought here?
The amount of anger in his face when you first met him made your breathing hitch. He could've done a lot worse than what he did, what if he didn't stop there? The thought scared you to the bone.
You rubbed your arms, goosebumps covering them. You needed a little break from the memories, enough time to calm yourself down.
You got up, going over to Yancy who was tapping his foot against the ground, humming an odd tune, you poked his shoulder.
The male turned around, eyebrow raised. "Yeah?"
"Do you have anything I can do while we're waiting for Google's update to be done?" You asked quietly, head titling.
Yancy blinked, rubbing his head. "Uh, how 'bout ya- uh read this book," He yanked a book out of nothingness.
"It's 'bout-" He paused, looking over the title before handing it over to you. "Philosophies!"
You leaned over, in defeat, you were hoping it was the book, at least that'll get your mind free from Dark. You took the book with a nod and went to the corner of the room, plopping down and opening the book, becoming entranced within a few seconds.
That's it! This book is your key to become more confident, you'd finally get to stand up to Dark with this book!
Your new philosophy! You grinned, crossing your legs.
