.^Kokichi's POV^.
Shuichi just asked me why my eyes were red and puffy. And what did I respond with?
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
I didn't answer his question.
It was a dumb question anyway, why would he wanna know?
"...K-Kokichi..?" Sahara finally asked, after at least five minutes of waiting for an answer.
Play it off, Kokichi..Just act like you have no idea what he's talking about.
I finally responded, "Hm~? What do you mean?" I acted like I had no idea what he was talking about, and by the look on his face, he seemed to believe it.
"A-Ah, no n-nevermind.." And just like that, problem solved.
"Oh, Okay~!" And for a few minutes, we walked silently, hand in hand.
"H-Hey, um..Kokichi..? I-I have a question I wanna ask you..." Shuichi finally said, breaking the silence.
"Oh? Really? What is it, Shumai?" I looked up at him, beaming with fake joy.
"Y-You don't have to answer if you don't want to.." He said that really quietly, almost whispering, I barely heard him.
"Uh-huh."
"I-I understand if it's too p-personal..."
"Right~.." I managed to get out; flowers starting to clog my throat once again.
"A-Actually, n-nevermi-" He was going to ask me a question, right?
It must've been important, right? And now he was just...Going to drop it? No, No he was not! I am determined to know what he was going to ask me!
"Non, non!" I almost instantly cut him off. "What were you gonna say?!" I asked with too much excitement in my voice.
"N-No, it's really n-not that b-big of a d-deal..!" He stuttered, obviously shaken and confused by my sudden exclamation.
"C'mon..! Just tell me alreadyyyyy!!" I started tugging on his sleeve with my free hand, trying not to choke on the flowers in my throat as I spoke.
"K-Kokichi-"
"Pretty please?" I begged him, giving him my best puppy dog eyes.
"A-Ah, fi-fine..."
He hesitantly spoke.
"Why do you lie so much, Kokichi...?"
