a couple months went by, and brileys bump was getting more visible and bigger, but to the point where she could barely cover it when she was in public

she changed her style to more baggy clothes, so when she was in the public eye, it wouldn't be noticeable that she was pregnant, as she wanted to keep it a secret until their precious baby was born.

today she had to run some errands, then was meeting grayson at the hospital for a check up, and to find out the gender.

she walked into target with her airpods in, headed straight to the grocery section to get a couple things, followed by the bedroom section, and picked up some things for the nursery, that wouldn't be suspicious if anyone had seen her. usually her or graysons assistants would get a few 'baby' items so nobody would see them.

"briley" she heard, taking an airpod out and turning around, furrowing her eyebrows.

"you've got to be kidding me" she said, turning back around and pushing her cart as she walked away.

"wait up, i just wanted to talk" she heard her fathers voice say, making her roll her eyes

"why? what are you even doing out here?" she asked, frustrated

"i was planning on seeing you, but i couldn't get into any contact with you" he smiled

"good" she groaned

"wait. briley you're still my babygirl, i want to be in your life" he said

"your 10 years to late on that one" she said, still looking for the things she needed

"could we at least catch up for lunch sometime? i really just wanted to spend time with you" he said

"what about brady?" i asked, choking out the words

"of course i want to see her too" he smiled weakly

briley let out a sigh "she's in town this week. she's coming to visit me actually" she said as she chewed her lip

"oh! that's amazing" he said

"as much as i don't want to, here's my number. text me whenever you want to go to lunch" she said

"thankyou my babygirl" she smiled

"don't make me regret it" she said sighing, but a smile spread across her face.

"my wife and daughters are in town too, if you wanted to see them again?" he questioned.

"maybe. let me think about it" she said

"i better get going, it was great to see you briley" he said

"you too, dad" she said, then walking off to the checkouts.

"oh my gosh" she sighed, realising what actually just happened.

she got everything into her car after checking out, sitting in her parking spot as she connected to bluetooth and picked a song

that was interrupted when she saw 'lover boy 🖤😚'
flash across her screen, signaling he was calling

she answered, the call coming through her car speaker

"hey lovely" she smiled, knowing he couldn't actually see her

"hey baby where are you? i'm headed to the appointment now and i thought i'd check" he said

"leaving target now, i'll be there in like 15 minute" she said, pulling out as she put her phone down.

"okay drive safe, i love you" he said.
