Callie. That's the only thing that's been running through my mind, even though it shouldn't. I have a movie deal at risk, and a loving girlfriend. Why are all of my thoughts consumed on one girl I don't even know.
She ran away before we could have a legitament conversation, she was super tense and avoided eye contact. Who knows if I'll ever see her again. One things for certain that Peyton can't know I ran into her. I have this feeling that Callie was the girl she was talking about earlier at the pool. I mean, unless she was in a really bad mood that one of my jokes couldn't make her laugh, then there was really something up. I'm hoping she was just having a bad day.
I want to meet up with Callie again, there was this feeling inside of me that I couldn't figure out. I'm like intrigued and my curiosity is getting the best of me. I have to see her again.
Just thinking about it, it actually sounds really weird. This girl, I met like 3 hours ago have clouded my thoughts. There are so many things I want to know about her. I want her in my life as weird as that sounds, but I do.

I walked down the stairs where my siblings and Ell were setting up the living room for our movie night. I had to leave in about 5 minutes to go get Peyton, for she was joining us tonight too. I want Rydel and Peyton to bond, my sister and my girlfriend should get along. But I know that with the two of them, watching a movie together. One comment from either of them and it'll be a World War III.
Rydel is the one who seems to not be able to stand Peyton the most. Ryland loves showing her off in his snapchat stories and talking to her like she's his best friend. Riker introduced us. So obviously he has a strong relationship with her. Rocky doesn't like her, maybe even hates her, but the feeling isn't mutual between Rocky and Peyton. She actually tries to have a good relationship with him, but Rocky just rolls his eyes and walks away. Ell gets along with her fine, I wouldn't say that they were close, but they don't try to kill each other with their murderous glares every time they see each other. My parents love her, they think she's the sweetest thing in the world.
"I'll be back!" I yelled grabbing my keys and heading out the door, a bunch of 'okays' and 'cool' and 'whatevers' were yelled back at me. I chuckled to myself and started my car (technically it's my moms) and started 10 minute journey to my girl's house. I rolled down my window, about halfway, (until it started to rain) and pressed play on the on my phone. The song 'Thrift Shop' blared through my speakers. I turned the volume up some more and started to dance and sing along in my seat. You'd be lying if you told me that you didn't do the exact same thing.
I glanced towards my left, something, more like someone caught me eye. I quickly double checked that I saw it right. It's none other than Callie. She's sat alone on a bench. She wasn't wearing a jacket, or holding an umbrella. She's going to get sick.
"Callie?" I called pulling over to the side of the road and rolling my window down more, she slowly picked her head up to look at me. She's been crying. I hate it when girls cry, I can't handle it. I couldn't help the feeling I got to get out of the car and help her. But I followed those feelings; I parked on the spot I was sitting in (hoping it was a parking zone) and leapt out into the rain, heading over to the bench she was sat upon. I awkwardly lifted my arm around her, she tensed but didn't fight me as I brought her into my chest.
"It's okay Callie, just let it all out." I soothed rubbing her arm gently. I felt her crying into my neck as she gripped me tighter. I didn't mind though, I actually kinda like her being this close to me. Oh great here comes these thoughts again, I have a girlfriend! Uh oh. I forgot I have to pick her up! I look down at Callie who's sobs seem to have quieted down now.
"Callie?" I said, she looked up at me and she looked terrible. Her right eye was colored in black and blue and she had a nice big scab on her lip, along with her face being slightly covered with dirt. I can't leave her here, all alone. And she defiantly is not going to tell me where she lives.
"Yeah Ross." She croaked. She's making this a lot harder. I'll just text Peyton and say she can't come over tonight. I'm taking Callie with me.
"Come on. I'll take you to my house." I start to get up off the bench along with trying to take her with me and all she does is shake her head.
"I can't just barge in on your family like that!" She freaked. Why is she so stubborn?
"They won't care! You need to get out of these wet clothes and the rain. I'll take you to my house where I have a sister, you can borrow some clothes from her and then if you really want I'll take you home after." I explained, she opened her mouth to object but I spoke again before she got the chance.
"And I'm not taking no for an answer." I smirk waiting for a small smile or at least a giggle but I got nothing. She just sighs and stands up, heading over to the passenger seat of my car. Strange. Maybe she's just hurting a lot more than I think and doesn't have the courage to smile? But she didn't smile earlier either, huh. I shrugged the thought off and got into the drivers side and drove back home. We both arrived and walked in, well I walked in, I practically had to drag Callie in by her wrists, which was kind of hard considering she's soaking wet.
We headed into the kitchen where everybody seemed to be waiting for me, well us. And when I say everyone I mean everyone; my mom, dad, brothers, sister, Ell, and Peyton. How'd she get here and why is she here? Oh right I forgot to text her, she must've called Riker to go get her or something considering her car wasn't in the driveway.
My mom immediately rushed over to Callie.
"Oh you poor girl! You're all beat up and dripping wet! Come on let's go get you cleaned up." My mom offers. Callie looks at me hesitantly, I nod dropping her hand from my own, only now realizing that I was holding her hand in the first place. I heard my brothers go "ooohh" making my cheeks immeadiately go red but Callie's face remained the same as she followed my mom up the stairs. I scoffed and sat down on the stool next to Rocky. He smirked at me.
"Who's your friend?" Ryland nudged my arm.
"That's Callie." Peyton looked like a lightbulb came into her head and Ratliff had a knowing smirk on his face.
"You mean the girl you came home..." He started before I clamped my hand over his mouth so Peyton couldn't hear anymore of what he was going to say. My dad chuckled at our behavior and went up the stairs, probably in search of mom and Callie.
"That's her!" Peyton shrieked before walking into the living room with her bowl of popcorn. Me and my siblings shared a look. All of us beyond confused on what she means.
------------------------------
Callie came back down in Rydel's clothes. Her face was free of the dirt and it looks like my mom took care of her eye and lip. She looks at us all hesitantly, I'm a little confused at first but then it finally clicks. She doesn't know any of us. Only me.
But here I am sitting with my arm around Peyton who's cuddling into my chest. Rydel, Riker, and Ryland are all on the other couch, while Rocky and Ell are laying on the floor. I quickly patted the spot next to me. She slowly and carefully made her way next to me.
"Thanks." She whispered. I gave a small smile.
"No problem." Callie nodded and turned her attention to the TV. Not even bothering to smile back. Ok something's up with her, I just know it.
From all the time that I've known her she hasn't laughed, blushed, giggled, smirked, or even smiled! What's up with her! Then it clicks and I give out a light gasp, earning a chrous of shh's from the people around me. I smiled innocently before returning to my thoughts.
That's what Peyton meant earlier, Callie's the girl she was talking about in the pool.
The one that doesn't smile.
