Ross's Point of View

Peyton's words can't help but echoe throughout my mind.

What does she mean that I'm going to greatly regret letting her go? I just fell out of love, it happens to people all the time. Shouldn't she be happy for me? Shouldn't she be happy that I let her go when I did instead of leading her on and possibly end up cheating on her?

Even if I did end up cheating on Peyton it wouldn't have been on purpose. My mind just doesn't function properly when I'm around Callie. Oh my god,

I'm falling in love with her.

Callie. The one who seems to have become my best friend, stubborn, beautiful Callie. That makes a lot of sense now. But the thing is, I don't think I just recently fell in love with her.

I've been feeling this way once I laid my eyes on her. I just hope she feels the same.

After she opened up and trusted me, I didn't know what else to do besides kiss her. And she didn't pull away! That's got to count for something!

I walk into the kitchen, determined to get a snack when my mom stops me.

"Hey sweetie. How'd Peyton take the break up?" She asks while drying some dishes, handing me some bowls to put away.

I take the bowls from her before answering. "She seemed mad, but other than that I think it went well." My nods handing me some plates.

"You know I always liked that girl." My mom smiles.

"Who? Peyton?" I question a little confused. I remember my mom telling me she liked Peyton but didn't seem all that sure about it. On the other hand, my dad loved her!

He wasn't too excited when I told them I was breaking up with her, unlike Rocky and Rydel.

My mom shakes her head, laughing a little. "No honey, I meant Callie." Oh.

"Oh." I smile. "Yeah me too." My mom hands me some cups before speaking.

"Even though I don't really know her, I just get this friendly vibe from her. You know." I nod, completely understanding what my mom is saying. "I bet she has a beautiful smile." My smile falters a little.

"Me too." I mutter. "If I ever see one."

My mom quirks an eyebrow at me.

"What do you mean?" I shrug.

"She doesn't smile or laugh." I explain. "Really she doesn't show any emotion of being happy."

My mom hands me some spoons. "Well why's that?"

I hesitate for a second. It's personal, Callie wouldn't like me to share it.

"Personal reasons." I confess hoping she doesn't press the topic any further.

"So what are you going to do about it?" She asks. I silently cheer as she didn't press the topic any further.

"I'm uh.. still trying to figure that out." My mom nods as she begins to wipe down the sink.

"Well good luck with that sweetie." I give mom a thumbs up before taking an apple and leaving the kitchen. As exiting, I notice my siblings playing basketball outside. After a quick 10 second discussion with my brain, I join my siblings.

We divide into teams. Me, Rocky, and Ryland on one team. Riker, Rydel, and dad on the other. Mom soon comes out with her phone and camera before taking a seat.

The things she does for our fans.

A few falls, a few fights, a few laughs and soon enough we call the game with Riker's team winning by 2 points.

If dad wouldn't have blocked my shot for a three pointer my team would've one.

"Ross, run to the store and grab some eggs would ya?" My dad orders. "I was thinking that we would have some french toast for dinner."

Those four words were all it took for me to bolt into the house to grab my keys. I started my car as I headed for the nearest store.

I walk in, throwing my keys up and down in the air. I slide my shades on to hide myself a little. I don't want to run into any fans.

I mean I love my fans but with french toast on the line...

As I head towards the eggs I hear a super familar voice.

"But Christmas is only a few days away! Can't we bake cookies?" Mallory whines. I peek my head around the corner to catch Callie, Mallory, Maryanne, Zigbee, Kevin, and Alice.

"Hey guys." I smile greeting all of them. They stop their conversation and stare at me, wide eyed with angry looks on their faces.

"Nola ezin duzu!" Zigbee screeched. I give the kids confused glances as Callie sighs.

"Guys why don't you go to check out." None of them hesitate to do so. Mallory shakes her head at me before leaving.

Once me and Callie are alone I begin talking.

"What's all that about?"

"How could you!" Callie whispers. I quirk an eyebrow.

"What are you talking about?" I ask generally confused.

"I poured my deepest, darkest, secrets to you! I thought I could trust you! I thought maybe you were different and that it was okay to fall for you!"

"Wait a minute." Callie just keeps talking, ignoring my chance to interrupt.

"All just for some publicity stunt." Wait.

"Publicity stunt?" Callie nods.

"Yes exactly! A stupid publicity stunt because you felt bad for us!" I shake my head.

"No, Callie it was never like that-"

"I really thought you were different Ross. But I guess I was wrong." She begins to leave.

"Callie wait!"

"I don't want to hear it Ross! Just leave me and my family alone!" She yells. "Got it?"

I watch her interact with Mallory as she begins to cry.

What publicity stunt?

I head on over to the magazine's and find one with my face on it.

Ross Lynch Helps Out Leo Hale's Foster Home! More on page 5.

It never was a publicity stunt! Who would've said that?

Well now she hates me, and I'm screwed.

The french toast doesn't seem too important anymore.

How depressing!

I know it's a little short but I wasn't so sure how the rest of the chapter should go.
