Ross's Point of View
I was awaken this morning with a pillow being smashed into my face. I groan before slowly opening my eyes. It's Ryland.
"Dude, what are you doing?" I ask him grabbing the pillow and throwing it back onto his bed. Which wasn't very hard considering our beds are super close to each other.
"Waking you up. We have a concert today. It's an outdoor one at a fair." Ryland informs me. I nod before flinging back my covers and getting out of bed.
Ryland leaves our room as I approach my closet. Picking out concert clothes has become a lot easier since we don't match our outfits anymore. It's kind of sad to be honest. I actually miss it a little bit. But it's what we've decided.
I look into my closet before deciding on my outfit. I chose my black tanktop/muscle shirt with a pair of ripped light blue jeans. Along with my black converse and pick necklace. I ran my fingers through my hair a couple of times and sprayed myself with my cologne before leaving my room. I'll brush my teeth after I eat.
I didn't bother actually brushing my hair because it wouldn't do any good. Everybody knows that I run my fingers through my hair, I tug at it, and make it stand up in all different directions. Brushing would do no good.
I entered our kitchen seeing my siblings, parents, Ell, and Peyton. She always comes to our concerts, well as long as they're in LA.
"Morning babe." I say as I greet her with a kiss. She doesn't like it when I call her baby or sweetie. I really wish she did though, I mean I would call her that every time I'd see her.
"Good afternoon." She chuckles. I look over at the clock and realize that it's 12:30. I stare wide eye at Ryland.
"Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I ask him, a little irritated he didn't wake me sooner.
"Mom said to let you sleep. You came home late last night soaking wet. Mom said let him sleep a little longer for the concert." Ry explains. That's when it all hit me.
Last night, I was at the park with Callie way past 11. The storm didn't resolve until about midnight. Then I had to walk her home to make sure she got there safely. My mom was still up by the time I got home. But I just blamed my absence and tardiness with the storm. Telling her I wasn't comfortable enough to drive home in it. Which she believed. It was a total lie though, the only thing that stopped me from coming home was Callie. She looked so scared and vulnerable. I couldn't leave her like that. I hated seeing her cry.
"Oh yeah thanks for ditching me to go to the park." Peyton teased. She made it sound teasing for my family reasons, but I knew she was angry. I smiled sheepishly before walking away. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I came back out when it was time to leave.
I slept through our instruments being carried into the bus. Score! We all loaded up into the mini van before driving to the venue.
-At the Venue-
We arrived 20 minutes later and began sound check. Along with setting up our instruments and mic stands.
We double checked the order for tonights show.

"Okay guys huddle up." Riker orders. "We are going to have an awesome show okay. Just go out there and have fun, but don't forget the lyrics." Riker looked at me when he said the last part. I shrug smiling as we all place our hands in the middle.
