A/N: sorry this took forever and it's so short. Thank you so much for all your messages though, they really mean the world to me. I was also wondering if you could help me out with something. I'm trying to come up with a male actor that could be Y/N's costar in the movie, so please send in ideas cause I'm a little lost.

It's been about two weeks since Y/N had coffee with Nick and since then he's been texting her almost every two days. Almost like he's planning it to stop himself from texting too often. He asks her how her day was and shares random things about his own day. Y/N quite likes talking to him again but it feels a bit too much like it was when they were together. She's probably just overthinking everything though.

What doesn't help is that pictures of them walking to her apartment have been all over social media. All of their fans are freaking out and accounts that have been shipping her and Nick from all those years ago are resurfacing.

Y/N and Sophie are leaving for the rest of the press tour for the movie tomorrow and Y/N is not looking forward to the questions that will no doubt be asked about her and Nick.

"Hey." Sophie smiles brightly as Y/N opens the door to let her in. Because they're flying out for the rest of the press tour tomorrow they figured it'd be easiest if Sophie stayed over at Y/N's. "I feel like it's been far too long since we've hung out." She adds as she takes off her coat.

"It has, but that's because you've been a little busy with a certain Jonas Brother." Y/N teases as she leads the way into the living room, which earns her a playful push from Sophie. "How is Joe?"

"He's good." Sophie smiles as he sits down on the couch. "Not that I need to tell you that, because you spoke to him yesterday." She says as she raises her eyebrows at Y/N. "And I hear he's not the only Jonas that you've been in touch with."

"No he's not." Y/N nods as she leans against the doorway leading to the kitchen. "Kevin and I have been keeping in touch as well." She says. "Do you want tea?" She asks quickly to avoid the topic Sophie is clearly hinting at. Y/N figured that Sophie would want to talk about Nick as well, but she wants to postpone it for as long as possible.

"Tea would be nice, but don't think that will get you out of this conversation." Sophie gives her a look. "I can tell it's bothering you." She calls after Y/N, who disappears into the kitchen to make some tea. While Y/N is in the kitchen her phone buzzes and Sophie takes a quick glance at it to see if it's important. "Guess who just texted you." She calls out to Y/N.

Y/N furrows her eyebrows as she makes her way back into the living room with two mugs of tea. When she sees Sophie's face she knows it must have been Nick and she sighs. "What does it say?" She asks as she places the mugs on the table.

Sophie grins as she picks up Y/N's phone. "It says 'Hey, I walked past that bookshop you always used to go to and saw this. I was wondering if you had it yet.' And there's a picture attached to it." She says as she holds to phone out to Y/N, who takes it from her.

"It's a first edition of one of my favorite books." Y/N says softly as she looks at the picture. "I always wanted to have a first edition of this one. I can't believe he remembered." She adds as she quickly types out a response saying she doesn't have it yet, that she would be very grateful is he bought it for her and that she'll pay him back.

Sophie watches Y/N closely and she can't help but smile as she sees the soft look on her friend's face. Joe told her that Nick was really serious about making things work with Y/N again and he seemed to think it was a good idea, but she was a little skeptical about it. This is a very kind gesture of Nick though and it really seems to mean a lot to Y/N. "That's sweet of him." She says as she wonders if getting back together with Nick might not be such a bad thing for Y/N.

"It is." Y/N says softly. "Which just makes everything worse." She adds with a groan as she drops her phone next to her on the couch and lets herself fall back against the pillows.

Sophie chuckles at her friend's slightly dramatic actions. "Why?" She asks as she takes her mug and wraps her hands around it to warm them. She has a pretty good idea why, but sees it as a good way to get Y/N to start talking about it.

"Because I don't think he just wants to be friends." Y/N admits. "I know Nick and I know that the way he's been acting lately isn't just friendly. I've just been trying to deny it because I didn't want it to be true." She sighs as she tucks a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Would it really be so awful if he wanted to get back together?" Sophie asks as she watches Y/N over the rim of her mug. She doesn't want Y/N to go through the same thing she did last time she was with Nick, but who says it'll be the same as back then?

"Yes." Y/N's response is quick, but Sophie can see that she starts to doubt it as soon as it leaves her mouth. "I think." She adds after a moment of silence. "No, I know. I can't go through that again, Soph." She then says as she shakes her head. She doesn't want to doubt everything about herself again, she doesn't want to sit up all night wondering what she did wrong, she can't.

Sophie's face falls as she sees how sad Y/N looks. "Maybe you won't have to." She says. "Maybe you and Nick won't break up this time." She offers, though she knows it's not very reassuring.

"Maybe." Y/N says as she looks up at Sophie. "But I'm not willing to take that risk." She adds. "I just don't know if I can trust him."

"But you still like him?" Sophie asks and Y/N nods as she looks down at her hands. "Then give him a chance to prove that you can trust him."
