We Gather A Group

We crash landed in the living room of the Ex-Miller household. My and my friends immediately left Quietus and teleported to Gramma's before you could say: 
I am alive!

And yes, Lee had woken up during the journey.

Gramma beamed when she saw us and ushered us into the living room saying a million things at once:

'You must be hungry.
I can't believe you are alive.
Thank the gods!
I am so happy to see you safe.
Are any of you hurt?
Is everything ok?
Did you succeed?
You all must rest!
And-' she froze when she saw Olivia, 'I see...'

She gained her composure, 'Well, I guess you all would want some time on your own… but remember to meet me in the master bedroom in 10 minutes.' She walked away, humming to herself.

We all sat down uncomfortably. Olivia was looking at me with a twinge of guilt.

'So… explain.' I said, 'Go ahead.'

'I-I don't know where to start...' she mumbled.

'WELL, YOU CAN START BY WHY YOU BROKE OUR HEARTS AND TRUST FOR YOU BY BETRAYING US!' Lee yelled.

'I didn't betray you!' She said sharply, 'it was a misunderstanding.'

'Oh yeah?' James said, 'You stabbing her-' he pointed towards me, 'was a misunderstanding too?'

Jace stood up silently, 'she can explain that.'

I stared at him and suddenly realised why he had changed so much. He had realised why Olivia had tried to kill me, and must have…must have... thought it reasonable.

I shuddered, the mere thought was scary.

'Look, I never worked for Quietus.' Olivia said, looking at me, 'You were there when I left, did I say anything like that?'

I tried to recall our last conversation, and realised that she was right, 'But that doesn't justify you trying to kill me.'

'It kinda does,' she said, 'You see, I wasn't the spy… but you were.'

'What gibberish is this?' I said, 'I loathe Quietus and his plans!'

'It's not like that!' Olivia said, 'you may not like it! But how do you explain the flashbacks you have?'

I was speechless.

'Every time you get one, your mind opens up to him! You become vulnerable.' She explained, 'That's how they were able to continuously track us a few months ago.'

'But recently-' I protested.

'Recently you weren't getting any because they didn't care where we were.' Jace interrupted, 'They were busy with other plans.'

'So...' I whispered, 'I was the spy? I was the reason all of you had to suffer so much?'

Eava put a hand on my shoulder.

Olivia shook her head, 'I thought that you did this intentionally. I thought that killing you would solve the problem...'

'But why didn't you tell us?' Lee argued, 'Why did you run away?'

'I-I-didn't think you would believe me. You all trusted her too much. You'd all think I was the spy.'

'And like Lee said, why run away?' Eava asked.

'About that...' she took a deep breath, 'I suddenly started remembering everything.'

'What?!' All of us exclaimed.

'At that very moment, I knew who my parents were, where I was from, basically everything since I was born. I was so surprised that I left the job incomplete. And maybe, more of the reason was that I was ashamed of what I'd done. The more I thought of it-' she looked me in the eye, 'the more you didn't look like you knew what was going on. I was a coward.'

Tears were streaming down her eyes now.

I looked at her, 'It's okay… all of us have our bad moments.'

Jace stepped forward, 'I'm really sorry Andria...I just needed some time for things to settle in my brain. I shouldn't have pushed you away.'

He hugged me, and I felt like the world was finally coming right.

'Now, Gramma told us that you gave her the Dies?' Eava asked.

'Yes, I had a hint on what Quietus was upto… So I managed to get one from May Trixy and hand it over to her.' She admitted, 'Later on, after an eternity of promises and begging, May allowed me to use another dies to go back in time to help all of you. Though I had no idea how much trouble you all were in. I simply told the Dies to take me to the place you were currently in.'

'May Trixy can be really powerful with 3 Dies in her grasp.' I said, remembering the 3 pedestals in that room, 'She can destroy the whole world if she wants to.'

'Nah...' said Olivia, 'she's just a collector. I doubt she wants the Dies to go back in time. They just help her in publicizing her products. Anyway… Now no Dies will work.'

'Why?' We all asked.

Olivia looked surprised, 'You all really don't know? There are only 3 Dies in this world, each is like a two-way ticket, you go back in time and come back. After one whole trip, they stop working.'

'But only 2 have been used.' Eava said, 'You and Quietus.'

'No...' said Olivia, 'what I mean to say is that there are only three passes into time. You used that Cerastes to time-travel, and the third Dies lost its power.'

'Oh.'

'I really didn't know about any of this...' I said, 'I am so sorry for all the pain I caused to all of you.'

'It isn't your fault.' Said Jace, 'Relax.'

'I promise all of you, I will learn how to control my flashbacks.' I told them.

They smiled at me,'That is all we ask.'

'Children! Come into my bedroom!' Came Gramma's voice.

'Coming!' We said, and ran across the hall and opened the door.

Around fifteen other kids of different ages (most were around ours) were in the room.

'Gramma, who are they?' I asked.

'Children of Magicae Creators!' She said happily, 'they can help you on your mission with a little training.'

'You mean that all of them survived their childhood attacks?' Lee asked.

'Yes, dear.' Said Gramma, 'I'm afraid that the children from other families didn't. They all want to fight against Quietus, and are hoping you'll give them the chance.'

'Please don't say no!' Said a young girl. She must have been around 7, but her eyes were full of determination.

My heart melted. I looked at the others for approval, and they nodded. Sure, you may think that endangering a young one's life was cruel, but I knew first hand how she felt, and I couldn't deny her wish of justice.

'Of course not,' said Jace, 'You all deserve a chance.'

'Totally!' Said Lee.

'Sounds fine by me!' Said Eava

'Sure.' Me, Olivia, and James said.

'Here are the list of names.' Gramma said.

I unfolded the slip of paper.
