For days and hours Mickey tried to make his poster perfect. Karen stopped by showing him ideas while Ian was out shopping with Fiona. "Fuck lets do it tomorrow at school" Mickey said while tossing the glitter everywhere on the poster. "Really  "prom?" With a question mark is the best you could come up with. "Shut the hell up, it the thought that counts" Mickey said while spreading the glitter. "Well we can get the flowers tomorrow morning?" Karen said with a smile. "Yeah some of my old friends are coming over and my sister to help" Mickey said while smiling. "Nice" Karen said and smiled. "I hope he loves it" Mickey said while hiding it under their bed.
The next day
"I'll meet you after school" Mickey said to Ian while pecking him on the cheek. "Okay?" Ian said and smiled. The day went by fairly quick, did his work and took his test. He got to leave his last our early since he finished the test first. Mickey looked at his phone.
Mandy: we here
Me: cumin
He ran to Karen's classroom, she was in class so he tapped in the door. She got up with her stuff and ran out the room. "Fuck finally, took you forever" she said while laughing. "Shut up, lets go" Mickey said and they ran down the hall. When they got out the building, he saw Mandy standing there with the sunflowers. He smiled until he saw who was holding the other flowers, Joey. "The hell is he doing here?" Mickey barked at Mandy. "Yeah I missed you too big brother" Mandy said while hugging him. Mickey hugged her but glares at Joey, who smirked. "Mick" one of the other football players said. Mickey turned around and high-fived his old teammates. "I told Sam about this so, he'll lead Ian here" Karen said while holding the prom sign. There was about twelve football players and the two girls. Mandy ended up get the right amount of flowers, fourteen. They would all line up and Ian would get a flower from each person. At the very end Mickey would be holding the sign. Mickey explained his plan and everyone started grabbing a flower. "Yo mick" a football played names Zack called out. "Zach, haven't heard from you in a while" Mickey said while hugging him. "Yeah man, miss you, anyway, coach wants to talk to you about something" Zach said. Mickey made a confused expression. "Talk about what?" He asked. "They recruited you to play last year for that college we all agreed to go to" Zach explained. "Meaning?" Mickey asked. "Found our they are willing to give you another chance, full scholarship" Zach said and smiled. Mickey laughed, he couldn't believe it. He was happy, but what about Ian? He couldn't just leave him, right? Zach noticed his smile fell. "Dude this is great, full ride, it's what you dreamed about ever since like 2nd grade" Zach said while punching his arm. "I can't just drop everything and leave, what about-" Mickey said but was interrupted by Zach. "Dude, I know you love him, but for real, it's high school, you really think he's gonna stick around?" Zach asked. Mickey never considered that, I guess you could say he was in love with the idea of love. Ian was it for him, but could they really be together, forever? "Hey" Joey said while smiling. "The hell you doing here?" Mickey asked. "Mandy tagged me along, wanted to see you" Joey said with a laugh. "Some nerve asshole" Mickey said while fixing the sign up a bit. "Oh come on, not like that" Joey said. Mickey was about to say something until the bell rang. "Shit" he said. Everyone got into there places and waited.

"Uh Sam, we walk this way?" Ian said while pointing in the opposite direction. "Yeah but uh, need to show you something" Sam said while pulling his bag. "The fuck Sammy" Ian teased, Sam smiled. They walked to the other side of the school, right where everyone was waiting. Ian was talking about colleges to Sam when I boy came out with a sunflower. Ian made a confused face and slowly took the flower. "The fuck is this?" Ian said while laughing. "It's a flower dumbass" Sam said as they continued to walk down the path. Another boy came out, Ian laughed and took the flower. A couple more flowers down he finally saw a girl with black hair. He remembered her, it was Mandy. She smiled and gave him a hug while giving him the flower. "What the fuck is going on?" He said while laughing. It finally clicked when he saw Karen, her presence made him realize who put this up. He took the flower from her and he smiled when he saw who was holding a prom sign. "Oh fuck noo" Ian said while laughing. It was Mickey, smiling brightly holding a sign that just said one thing, "PROM?". Ian smiled and realized he had one more flower to take. It was a guy holding it, for some reason Ian felt like he knew him, he slowly grabbed the flower. Joey. Joey gave a fake smile and gave him the flower. Ian turned to Mickey and smiled. "Well, yes or no?" Mickey said while smiling. Ian smiled and looked behind him to see everyone smiling and waiting for his answer. "Of course" Ian said and everyone cheered. Ian hugged Mickey and kissed him. Once they kissed everyone cheered louder.
Mickey and Ian ended up staying behind while everyone left. It was getting late so they decided to start heading home. Mickey held Ian's hand while they walked down the street. For some reason everything hit Mickey at once. Prom, the scholarship, leaving Ian, it became a lot. All he wanted to do was go home and sleep. It was quiet, until Ian broke the silence. "Mickey? You okay?" Ian asked. "I'm fine" Mickey snapped, even though he didn't mean to. "Okay was just wondering" Ian said softly. Ian knew something was up, he knew Mickey, and right now, Mickey wasn't himself. Something was bugging Ian as well, that guy. He remembered Mickey describing a guy that looked exactly like him. Finally it clicked, Joey.
"You got to be fucking kidding me" Ian said and stopped walking. "What?" Mickey asked and frowned. "That was Joey, wasn't it?" Ian asked, obviously upset. "Yeah so what?" Mickey snapped, not by accident though. "Did you ask him to help?" Ian asked. "No I didn't assho-, uh no I didn't, Mandy brought him" Mickey said and kept walking. "Mickey!" Ian called out and jogged up to him. "Jesus will you slow down?" Ian asked. "What Ian, you done believe me, don't trust me?" Mickey said while getting in Ian's face. Ian stood his ground and stepped back from him. "I do trust you, it's just weird he was there" Ian admitted. Mickey scoffed, "It was weird? What you don't want to go to prom? Hmm" Mickey asked getting in his face. "It's not that, I'm just saying it's weird" Ian said while pushing him slightly backwards. Mickey scoffed again and kept walking. "Mickey!" Ian yelled again, "Why are you acting like this? Did Joey say something? Mandy say something? Are you-" Ian asked but was cut off from Mickey. "Jesus Christ Ian, what's with you and 20 fucking questions, huh" Mickey yelled. Ian stayed silent. "Fuck, why you acting like a girl about this, it's so fucking annoying" Mickey yelled now getting in Ian's face. "Are you off your meds or something, the only time your actually fucking crazy and annoying is when you are asking shit like this, like a fucking crazy person who's off his meds" Mickey yelled.
Mickey stared at Ian. Ian was in shock. Crazy.Crazy.Crazy,Crazy.Crazy. That word was playing over in his head. He stared at the ground, the person who he loved, trusted, cared for called him crazy. This disorder he didn't want was always going to fuck up his life, one way or another. Mickey stared at him, "Ian" Mickey asked. Ian just looked at the ground. Mickey reached for his hand, Ian pulled back quickly. "Don't touch me" Ian yelled. "Ian I'm I'm I don't know what happened" Mickey stuttered our. "I'm not crazy", Mickey smiled, "Ian" he asked again reaching for his hand. "I'm not crazy" Ian said and pushed him. "I'm not crazy!" Ian yelled. Mickey felt bad, "I didn't mean it like that" he said. "I know how you meant it" Ian said and looked at his flowers. "Here" he said while throwing them at Mickey. "Ian?" Mickey asked. "I'm not crazy" Ian said with tears in his eyes. Mickey stared back at him, feeling the tears stream down his face. "Go home, we're done" Ian said, then turned around and walked away, leaving Mickey all alone.
