"Wake up, Mother!" Spottedkit pleaded, biting down softly on her mother's tail.

Dawncloud groaned as she got up from her sleeping place.

"Huh? Where is your siblings?" She said dazed.

"Their gone! Dovefur told me to wake you up while she went to look for them!" Spottedkit cried, her vision blurry.

Dawncloud, now wide eyed, sprang up and sniffed the air. Her paws hit the earth as she stumbled around the camp. She quickly found Dovefur's scent, and took off after it. She yelled for Spottedkit to follow her, but to walk slowly and carefully. Without looking back, the worried mother vanished into the bushes.

When she emerged from the bramble filled shrub, panic field her body as she smelt a familiar smell. Her ears picked up as she heard hissing and wails of pain nearby.

"Oh StarClan, can I not just have one day of rest without fighting or finding out secrets?" She hissed, sprinting in the direction of the noise.

She froze in horror as a small black kit flew in her direction. She landed with a thud before springing back up and charging into the pile of battling cats again.

"Crowkit!" Dawncloud sprinted after her, ready to pounce on any sign of a threat.

A paw crashed into the back of her head as she turned around. Dovefur's eyes were covered in blood, and she was swinging at anything she could find that fit the size of the attacker. Despite not being able to see, the fluffy cat still pounced on the calico, attempting to bite her neck. Dawncloud closed her eyes as the jaws clamped down on her neck, hard.

"Dovefur!" Spottedkit screech. "That's Dawncloud! You're hurting Dawncloud!"

She felt the jaws release as she opened her eyes. Dovefur was shaking as she backed away, her left eyes barley showing. She ran towards Spottedkit, and collapsed. Before Dawncloud could do anything, she heard a familiar, evil laugh from behind her.

"I knew you would show if I stole something precious of yours," the voice chuckled touching her tail and making her jump.

She glared, her eyes changing from fear to anger.

"Blackbird!" Dawncloud hissed, her claws automatically unsheathed as she saw the small cat. "You've followed us all the way here and steal my kits?"

Blackbird chuckled again, his dangerous voice did not fit the small body that produce it, especially since he was alone now. "You're quite the smart cat."

"I wish I could say the same for you pipsqueak!" A voice mocked from behind the two adults. "Not so deadly without your big bad brothers?"

Blackbird flipped his head quickly and glared furiously at the speaker.

"I have become more deadly without them. In fact, I should thank your mommy for getting rid of them," he responded with an eerily happy tone. "It filled my anger, making me stronger than ever."

Dawncloud noticed as Crowkit emerged from the rubble that had been there before Dawncloud had found them. Her fur was matted and she had a huge claw mark on her shoulder. Blackbird's fur stood up as he got into a fighting stance, shaking with excitement and anger.

The calcio she-cat's fur also stood as she bolted into action. But she was too late. Blackbird flipped around and clawed at her belly as she jumped over him. She fell in pain as she let out a cry. Her vision began to blur as five figures ran up to her. Blackbird let out an evil laugh as he pressed his paws against Dawncloud's skull, putting an usual amount of pressure for his size onto it. His claws dug into her face, making her cry in pain again.
