Chapter 24

I continue looking down and I catch his scent. Why me... Out of all people... Me. He lifts my chin and I look in his eyes. He grins and I gulp. I will not let him see me weak.

I hear a growl and I turn to see Alexander. He looks furious and I push Jaiden's hand off my chin.

"You're him." Alexander says. I back up and hit his chest. I give Jaiden an emotionless stare but in reality I'm breaking all over again.

"Nice to see you still think about me princess." Julian says. I don't answer and I feel anger rising inside me. "What are you doing here with him?"

"He's my mate." I say. He nods and stares at me. "What are you doing here?"

"I can't remember." He says. I growl lowly. "So you've grown balls?" I glare at him. "Answer honestly. Are you still in love with me?"

"Don't answer him Valerie." Stiles says. Alexander continues staring at Jaiden and I can tell he's trying to keep his wolf under control.

"Valerie?" Jaiden asks. I bite my lip and nod. "Well Cassie he may be your mate but you are still my wife."

"It wasn't real." I state. His eyes darken. "I may have taken your last name but it doesn't mean anything."

"I think you should leave." Alexander speaks. Jaiden growls and his canines grow.

"You won't take her away from me!" He yells before lunging towards Alexander. I quickly grab him and push him away. He looks at me. "You'll regret that!"

"No! You will!" I yell. I growl and let Filia take over... Completely.

Filia POV:

I eye Jaiden with hatred and anger. He's caused us so much pain and suffering. I'm gonna kill him I swear.

"What are you gonna do about it?! You're a weak werewolf who can't even save her sister from death!" He yells. My eyes widen and my fist connects with his jaw. He falls to the floor and I get on top of him.

"Don't you EVER think about bringing Hailey into this!" I punch him and he growls. "EVER!" My claws come out and I claw at his chest. He yells in anger and kicks me off.

"Alexander!" Stiles yells holding him back. "Don't get in between!" I growl at Jaiden as he stands up. His wolf surfacing.

"Enough! Learn your place!" He yells before shifting. I watch as his brown wolf growls at me. His yellow eyes piercing through mine.

"I have a special place in hell for you!" I yell before shifting. I hear gasps as I remeber I'm a rare wolf. I ignore them and we circle each other. He lunges at me and I bite into his neck.

"Valerie!" Alexander yells. I let Go and look at him. I feel a sharp pain through my leg as I'm swung across the court. I stand up and he runs towards me.

"Alexander!" I hear. Too many distractions! I stumble to the floor as Jaiden claws at me. I see the blood but I don't feel the pain.

I bite a piece of his ear off and he shakes his head. I jump on him and dig my teeth into his leg. With a yelp, he grabs my neck and I kick him.

I want to end him but I can't. He growls at me and we both watch each other. We both have some bad injuries and blood is everywhere.

I'll make him pay for Hailey. What kind of monster tortures a 13 year old girl? Yes 13. She was very brave for her age. I stop panting and we shift. I grab my side in pain as I see Stiles and Alexander run over to me.

"Here." Stiles says, ignoring Alexander growling and I take the clothes. I put on the oversized shirt and shorts before looking at Jaiden. Who's in nothing but jeans.

"You have guts." He says. I growl at him. "You're not Valerie. Or Cassandra. So who are you?"

"I'm Filia. The daughter of Lucifer."I hear gasps and I sigh. "But I'm also Valerie. And I will not take you disrespecting me like that." I whistle and Cerberus appears growling at Jaiden.

"Cerberus." Stiles says. Cerberus ignores him and I lean down to whisper in his ear as I pet him.

"Take him to a cell. Make sure you don't kill him just yet." I whisper. "Meet me back at Alexander's house and Cerberus?" He looks at me. "Make him pay." I let him go and he runs towards Jaiden.

Jaiden tries fighting him off but Cerberus quickly finds a way to knock him out. With one last glance my way, Cerberus drags him away.

"Are you crazy?" Alexander asks me. I scoff and walk towards the door. "Don't ignore me!"

"Guys calm down!" Stiles says running after us. I take his keys and get in the car. I wince a little and they get in. I start the car and drive towards the house.

No one says anything and I grip the wheel. This is not how my day was supposed to go. I can't not believe this! Who the hell just shows up?!

"Stiles I'm dropping you off." I say. He shakes his head. "I wasn't asking."

"No way." He says. "I'm staying or you're walking home." I slam on the brakes and they jerk in their seats. I get out the car and begin walking away.

"Filia get back here!" Alexander yells. "Now!"

"I'm walking!" I snap. I hear him curse under his breath and I begin running. When I finally see the house I quickly run. I'm surprised when I don't see Alexander here.

I walk upstairs and change into a pair of sweats and a white tshirt not bothering to wash off the blood. I walk back downstairs and sit at the table. Alexander walks in and examines me from afar. I ignore him and whistle.

Cerberus runs in and jumps on the chair next to me. Alexander mumbles and sits across from us. I look at Cerberus and he places a paw on the table.

"Did you do it?" I ask him. He barks and I take that as a yes. I look at Alexander. "So what are we gonna do about the psycho ex?"

"Do you not care?" He asks. I look at him with a don't be stupid look and he throws his hands up in the air. "Don't you care that your ex almost killed you?! That he's back?!"

"Me?" I point to myself and shake my head. I drop my finger and sigh. "No... Buttttt me... Yes."

"Explain." He tells me. I lean back and cross my arms. "Why don't you care?"

"Because it was a mistake?" I say. It comes out like a question instead of a statement. "He's nothing to me."

"Yes but why?" I look at him before turning away. "Help me understand."

"I already told you." I look at the floor and shift uncomfortably. "He tortured me and killed my sister."

"There's more... Isn't there?" I look up at him through my lashes and nod.

"We fell for him deeply. We being me and Valerie. Same person so... I... fell for him." I chuckle. "We ended getting married as a little joke that we'd be together forever."

"What changed?" He asks. I shrug and shake my head.

"I found out he was alive. He was turned and he smelled like a rouge but I didn't care. I loved him too much to do that. So after all that, you know the kidnapping and my sister, I tucked myself away from reality. Promised to never fall in love again and steer clear of any wolves that weren't in my pack. So I wouldn't meet my mate and go through rejection." I explain. He nods. "So when I saw you... I hid. I knew I was in trouble when..." I trail off.

"When what?" He asks. I take deep breaths.

"When I started falling for you..."
