Harry's POV

There were no words to fully describe his scent. Warm, comforting, and protective would be the best way to explain it, but it was really difficult to have a word to perfectly describe it. He smelled like a warm house on a snowy day, like warm cookies out of the oven, and like fresh laundry right out of the dryer. Louis unexpectedly dropped his bed comforter on me while I was trying to put the game in. Smelling his scent, I just paused and snuggled into it. The RA room was bigger than a normal student one. Louis had a couch and that was behind me and supporting my back. I kind of slumped into my self and the bottom of the couch and just laid like that until Louis put the hot pizza in front of me.

The pizza was so good so I was doing my happy eating dance. Honestly it was mostly just swaying in place, but apparently Louis enjoyed watching that. He offered me a coke and I agreed with a gleeful smile. It made me feel a bit sad at how awful I was being about this diet, but at least I got one on one time with the handsome alpha.

He is so my type. He was manly, but seemed opened enough to be emotionally and mentally stable. It was such a nice change to Diana and the alphas in my home town. He was the complete opposite of my awful home town. Being bullied constantly was hard growing up. Everyone called me a poodle because of my crazy curly hair, which has luckily calmed down to light curls and apparently my kindness was seen as a weakness, but I really meant well.

My parents and I were fond of each other, but we were very different people. They were old in their thinking, but my dad was caring yet strict and my mom was too soft on me. I was sweet, but a little rebel, well... honestly I was a straight arrow when it came to rules, not so much my sexuality though. My parents weren't too surprised but took them a while to come around. Having an opinion as an omega was seen as disrespectful or disgraceful in most families and I was lucky my parents were actually forward thinkers.

Boys from my grade were dicks and if they weren't god awful, they were friends with the dick heads, thus making dating impossible. One guy I knew wanted to breed me (basically rape me) cause I seemed like the perfect little twink and that he'd beat me into submission to him. I mean he really knew how to woo me, am I right?

No, I liked gentle, I like non-pushy alphas. The closest and only friend Sarah, fell in love with a pushy alpha before and she was in love, but I could see the sadness in her eyes around that time. I knew she hid things from me, and once I saw a bruise on her cheek. She seemed really sad, and she broke up with him. Luckily they didn't bond and now she was dating this amazing guy. They were both in the next city over. Sarah wanted to be a nurse (what most omegas go for and also childhood education) so she went to a school there for two years. She was a year older so she went to school last year. She was my best friend and calls me every few days. Always like a big protective sister, she's always been by side.

I was thinking this about Sarah and her ex and eating pizza when Diana came into my mind making me frown. Omegas were naturally more frightful. It was quite literally in our DNA. We were more squirrelly because we needed alphas. Alphas were protectors and omegas were much weaker. Timid, but we weren't stupid. We had our own opinions. It was stupid that some alphas would take an omega in heat and rape them and use their alpha voice! Even to an omega stranger! That omega would be so submissive cause of the alpha voice and bond mark. The fear and PTSD would be intense and the alphas were just horny stupid bastards. Omegas should show interest  in someone they like and then alphas react to that, not have alphas boss us around to love them! It was ridiculous.

Louis noticed my focused gaze on the tv that was off, and he asked how I was. Was he someone who cared or just being a caring RA. I said I was fine with a fake smile but he pressed on, and I cracked. I told him about the female alpha and what she did. He asked if I'd liked for him to announce something to the group and I said no, not wanting to make enemies. What she did wasn't downright awful. More just not considerate. She mostly gave me a weird vibe and Louis nodded. His face was red, but maybe cause of the temperature. It was getting warm, and I was in a soft blanket and just ate to my heart's content so I also felt warm.
