Quality Time With a Water God.

Tomioka's POV*

I was outside, washing Y/N's dirty haori.
Apparently before our mission, she had sprained her ankle.

I sighed and asked myself,
"What is that woman thinking?"

I hung her haori up and made my way inside my house, having the urge to check up on the snow hashira.

'She's still fast asleep...' I thought to myself.

I was about to get up when I heard her whisper,

"Gomenasai... Kayasumi-sensei."

My gaze softened as I lightly shook my head.

'What has this girl experienced?'

3rd POV

"I promised to find the person who murdered you..."

"But it's been 2 years, and I still haven't found anything."

He inched his way over to her side and caressed her cheeks as she whispered everything, tears falling of the corner of her eyes.

"I'm also sorry, Zenitsu-chan..."

Giyuu perked up as he heard those words come out of your mouth.

"I'm sorry for leaving you alone at that time!"

"I'm sorry I couldn't keep our promise..."
She says, as her whispers died down.

"So that's what happened."

Y/N's POV*

I woke up, startled to hear Tomioka-san's gentle voice.

'Gentle?'

'Y/N what's wrong with you?' I murmured.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You sprained you ankle before the mission didn't you?" Tomioka-san asked.

"So?" I replied.

"After that demon kicked you in the ankle, you passed out and I carried you to my estate." He explains.

"...Thank you." I whisper.

Giyuu only nodded as he left to the kitchen to get food.

A few minutes later, he came back with a bowl of udon, salmon daikon and 2 cups of matcha.

"Sit up." He orders, as I sit up from the futon.

You noticed that you were wearing Tomioka-san's haori.

"What happened to my haori?" I frantically asked.

"I simply just washed it, it's outside."
I sigh in relief as Tomioka-san hands me the bowl of udon.

"Arigatō, Tomioka-san. I would never forgive myself if I had lost that." I sighed as I started eating.

"Giyuu." I blinked confused.

"Drop the formalities, and just call me Giyuu." He says taking a bite out of his salmon daikon.

"Alright then Tomi-eh, Giyuu-san." You say slurping your udon a little while correcting yourself.

"Why wouldn't you forgive yourself if you lost that haori?" Giyuu-san asked me out of the blue.

I sighed. "I don't normally talk about this but it's all I have left of my Sensei before he was-"

"Murdered." Giyuu-san says, finishing my sentence.

"How did you-"

"You whisper in your sleep." He says finishing his meal.

I sigh.

"Please don't tell anyone else." I say looking down.

"Only you and Shinobu-chan know." I explain.

"I would like to keep this a secret from the Hashiras." I continued.

3rd POV*

"May I ask why?" Giyuu questioned.

"I don't want their sympathy." She replies.

"And what about your brother?"
The snow hashira froze and looked at him.

Y/N's POV*

"What about him?" I ask, ignoring the lump that was forming in my throat.

"You said you broke some promise or something but-" I covered his lips with my hands, refraining him to continue speaking.

"Please don't talk about that..." I say, tears forming in my eyes.

"I want to forget everything that happened on that day." I cried out.

I looked up to Giyuu and cried.

"I want to forget about his death! How I broke my promise and everything else!!!"

"I just want to fix this all...." You sobbed as salty tears fell down.

3rd POV*
"I-" Your sentence was cut off as you felt two warm arms wrap around your figure.

Your tears only increase as you nuzzled your face in Giyuu's collarbone, letting out cries and emotions that were bottled up for the past two years.

As time passes by, you felt a ray of moonlight hitting your gaze.

As you turned your head towards the open screen doors, the moon's beautiful light had illuminated over both of your figures.

You let go of Giyuu's warm embrace and stared at the blue shining sphere.

"The moon is beautiful isn't it?" You asked Giyuu.

He looked at you in pure shock of what you had uttered earlier.

And you, kind of being the most oblivious person when in comes to romance, just looked at him blankly, yet smiling a little.

"I- I... Nevermind..." Giyuu stuttered in embarrassment.

"Do you realize what you have just said?" He asks you, staring into the moon.

"All I said was that the moon was beautiful..." You say.

"I'll explain it to you one day..." He sighs.

You answer by leaning onto his shoulder, as your eyes droop once more.

"Goodnight Y/N..." Giyuu whispered to you.

Giyuu's POV*

I tucked Y/N back into her futon as I felt myself starting to get sleepy as well.

I laid next to her without second thought.

Kami-sama...

I think I've caught feelings for this girl...

"Koishiteru, Y/N." I said to her whispering, as the darkness of slumber took me in.

CLICHE BUT WHAT THE HECK YOOOO
