Between Water and Snow (Tomioka Giyuu X Reader)

Another Goddamn Mission.

*Y/N's POV

After Lilian and I had excused ourselves from Ubuyashiki-sama's estate, I was helped Lilian move her things into my estate.

There weren't many boxes, yet they were REALLY heavy.

"What's in the boxes Kijisuta-san?"
I asked carrying one.

"Armor, photos, basically everything that used to belong to my Sensei." She explained.

Right before 6 in the afternoon, I was carrying the last box inside.
I muttered some curses under my breath while moving it.

I was too busy complaining when I suddenly tripped and sprained my ankle.

"Shit-!" I yelled.

"You okay Agatsuma-san?" Lilian looked at me obviously worried.

"Yeah, I think I'll manage." I muttered.

"CAW AGATSUMA, YOU HAVE A MISSION TO MOUNT NATAGUMO WITH TOMIOKA!!!!" Kasugaigarasu squawked. (A/N: this was the after the whole Rui thing okay?)

"You sure you gonna be fine Agatsuma?" Lilian yelled from the other room.

"I'm fine. Just go unpack your stuff." I answered back, getting up from the floor.

I grab my nichirin blade and try my best to ignore the growing pain on my ankle. As I walked outside, Tomioka-san was already waiting for me.

"You ready?" I asked him

Tomioka only nodded and we both started to sprint towards the mountain.

*timeskip*

As we both arrived, an eerie sensation was spread throughout the mountain.

"Didn't you finish the dilemma that happened here a few days ago?" I asked Tomioka.

"Apparently, we missed a few." He explains.

"How-" My sentence was cut short as I felt a sharp blade missing me by an inch.

"Why are there 2 pesky demon hunters back here again?" A low voice says in the distance.

"I thought that brat Rui, had taken care of them a few days ago..." He continued.

"Oh well... At least dinner is served!!!" He laughed.

I dodged another incoming blade as Tomioka-san squated on top of a nearby tree branch.

'I'm not gonna be your dinner anytime soon, bitch.'

"Total concentration breathing, breath of snow: second form; Glacier Icequake!"

I slashed right under the neck of the demon, missing my target.

'Fuck...' I cursed.

With every attack that I made, the pain in my ankle grew.
He was also dodging my attacks.
What a nusiance.

The demon seemed to take notice of my ankle.
He smirked and suddenly kicked my ankle, catching me off guard.

"Agh-!!!" I yelped, pain spreading throughout my entire body.

"Agatsuma!!!" Tomioka yelled.

I tried to up, yet immediately falling back down to the ground from the immeasurable pain that was coursing throughout.

"Striking tide." Was all I heard before blacking out.
