Always With You.

Zenitsu's POV.

"Zenitsu, your sister in injured." Tomioka informs me.

"And why should I care?" I say shocking Tanjiro, who was standing next to me.

Tomioka then briefly closes his eyes and sighed.

"She's in the butterfly estate if you want to see her." Tomioka-san says as he disappears.

"Zenitsu, how could you say that?" Tanjiro questions.
I sigh. "I'll explain inside..."

-Inside-

"Why would you say such things, Zenitsu?" He asks me.

"Look Tanjiro, I lost my love for her."
I started.

"Why?"

"Ever since she broke our promise, I can't bare to look at her."
"She betrayed me, Tanjiro." I say.

"What did she do?" Tanjiro questions.

"She left me for her own selfish wants."
"She left me to become a Hashira, and she didn't take me with her..."

"She promised she'd always be there for me."

"But she lied." I started to sniffle as I kept in my tears.

"Wait." Tanjiro briefly cuts me off.

"You said she left you to become a Hashira right?" Tanjiro pauses.

I tilt my head but then nodded in response.

"Doesn't that mean she wanted to protect you? I mean, that's a Hashira's job afterall." Tanjiro says.

"I-" I tried to protest.

"I mean, look at Kyojurōu-san and Senjuro-chan." Tanjiro explains.

"Kyojurōu-san wants to protect and train Senjuro-chan until he is strong enough to do that for himself." Tanjiro continues.

"I wonder the happiness your sister will feel when she sees you being able to protect yourself and even others."

"I wonder how proud she is..." Tanjiro whispers.

I sniffled, tears pooling around my eyes. "She's proud of me?" I ask.

"Then why is she so cold, Tanjiro?"

"A lot can happen after seven years, Zenitsu."

"Who knows what she went through?" Tanjiro says.

"I-I... I've made a mistake!" I cry, clutching Tanjiro's hands.

"I've said so many hurtful words to her!" I cried.

"Am I too late?" I sob.

"Better late than never." Tanjiro smiles.

I stop crying in an instant as I grabbed my haori while tossing Tanjiro's to him.

"We've got to go!" I yell.

"Come on, Tanjiro!" I yell.

The moonlight shone brightly as the both of us ran to Shinobu's estate.

"Shinobu-san, open up!!!" We both yelled.

Shinobu-san tiredly opens the door as we both rushed in impolitely.

"Where's Y/N?" I cry.

"In that room-" before Shinobu-san could finish her words, I had barged the door open, waking my older sister up.

3rd POV

"Nitsu-chan?"

"What are you doing here?"

The younger Agatsuma cried and tackled the older with a hug.

Y/N caught him holding the younger in her arms.

"Gomenasai..." The older Agatsuma heard from her brother.

"Gomenasai, Nee-san..." Zenitsu started to tear up.

"I'm sorry... for everything, for all the hurtful words, actions and my behavior." He said as he cried hugging his sister and burying his face in her neck.

The older Agatsuma had started to tear up too.

"I'm sorry for leaving you..."

"I just wanted to protect you." She whispers.

"I love you Nitsu-chan."

"And I promise this time, I'll always be with you." She says, holding him tight.

"I love you too, Nee-san!" He cried.

The water Hashira, who had recently arrived started to tear up too, having him remember his days with his older sister.

"Are you happy up there Tsutako?"

Reunited at last....
