What if you think of things this way
Look up from the book that's covered your face
What if demons were the holiest of all
For they've seen great deeds and climbed great walls
They know no love, they only know one thing
There's no greater salvation than what we call hate
What if demons were holier than angels
What if we look from all different directions and angles
Demons have fallen to themselves
But angels have never known the pain that dwells
Inside our hearts, inside our lives
Inside every living beings mind
Demons are not slaves
They are free to do as they please
They were given that right to put their souls at ease
Angels know light
That is all
Demons have known what it's like to take flight, burn, and fall
To freeze one moment
Like taking a breath
If you realize this the moment will come to an end
It will shatter, it will crumble, it will fall ill to our disease
Take hold of your hearts before your spirits are seized
I would know
I would prefer
Living a life knowing all that was earned
Through the hate, through the curse
Tell me, what is your useless light worth
It cannot be seen, it cannot be heard
By those who truly need it
Seek it, dream it, speak it
In all honesty
Your light puts a sour taste in my mouth
One I'd like nothing more than to just spit out
But I know that I, am fourth becoming a destination
I am my own creation
Hate is our only salvation
I am ready for the damnation
I've come to accept that this is the path
In which I have been seeking, now, and in my past
What if demons are the holiest creatures among us
They are what will drive us
Up our walls
