Ever since we gotten the big okay from the Academy to take a vacation to self-reflect and bond with more family members, that kinda joined this old semi-dysfunctional family since the Ashley Waters mission and the events leading from it. Though I am happy to finally get out of the isolating grip that my parents have subjected to me, I'm quite glad to get away from it all and enjoy the time (that I believe will be short lived) with my "new and improved family" that the Academy is hitting at.

But its never going to be like that again. We've lost the important piece that makes up the whole Blackbourne team excluding the new team or family we just got. I'm angry that the Academy thinks-no believes that if we just get rewarded with new members that it'll close the void that just keeps getting bigger, each and everyday. It doesn't, well not necessary, like they think to believe.  While I know Axel and the rest of the Toma team have come out of a hazardous and dangerous relationship that shifted some of their team mates personalities and their home life its not like I can just point at the differences if I've just met them. Kinda in a way they're going through something like we are.

Picking up the broken pieces to our team and taping them in a sloppy or rushed way to continue moving foreword once again like a family.

A family that was once happy.

When Mr. Blackbourne first brought up the discussion of including the Toma team it was a dark time for the nine of us. It seemed all hope was lost and that no matter how Sean or Luke tried to find the good memories before the incident, nothing really worked. The rest of the team didn't want to allow more people in, we were all scared. So most of us disagreed, Nathan a big advocate with North and Silas (which was a big shocker) including me, while Mr. Blackbourne and Kota unsure or more like in the middle-seeing the pros and cons like always- and the semi-optimistic Luke and Sean who were on full board with filling the hole in our hearts. Gabe was different. He was a shell of his former self, a person we've never known. The incident really changed him for the worst-and for all of us as well. We weren't the cocky or confident Blackbourne team that we've made ourselves to be.

So the verdict of our first "family" meeting was a big'ol no. But the Academy still persisted, throwing Mr. Blackbourne in a rough patch between the Academy and us-his family. No matter how I see it now, I'm glad he overrode our family decision and said yes. Now it hasn't been its greatest at some points and we've all have gotten rocky introductions (North and Raven which I won't even think about) but I can say for me that I've come to accept and love my new family members, from Axel's headbutting traits to Corey and Raven's blossoming love with Brandon and North discovering each others love for bikes and automobiles and my appreciation of Marc's god coffee skills.

To complete it all we've decided as a family to move away from the place most of us have grown up in and move out to an entirely new state and basically take residence in a small town with ghost homes and town lore. Sitting in Owen's car for the whole I don't even know ten plus hours to get to our new home or better yet vacation home. This was a huge step for all of us it was helping us mend the hole that was enormous.
