Jolie stared at the walls of the plain brick building she stood in as she tugged on her itchy human clothes. Human clothes felt very weird and looked even weirder. She wore a hideously bright yellow t-shirt with the black words 'Bee Well.' She wore an even brighter red hoodie over top and matching sneakers with navy jeans.

"Here we are Luci. Home sweet home." Mrs. Calame heartily said as she stopped in front of a plain blue door.

After Jolie convinced Dr. Calame that she had in fact lost her memory, her told his wife about her. Mrs. Calame was a sweet woman who wanted to help Jolie – or as she called herself now, Luci – After Mrs. Calame talked it over with her husband, they decided to let Luci stay with them. At least until she got back on her feet.

Mrs. Calame pushed open the door to a small, brick apartment – in human standards it huge, but to Luci it was only the size of her old bedroom. "Let's get you settled in." Mrs. Calame smiled as she hauled a suitcase full of new clothes and other things Luci needed, down a hallway.

Luci went to follow, when Dr. Calame grabbed her arm, "What is it Dr. Calame?" Luci asked.

Dr. Calame smiled at Luci, "Please, call me Arthur."

"Okay, Arthur." Luci said as Arthur let go of her arm.

"And I wanted to talk to you about some of your test results." Luci started to panic at Arthur's words.

But Luci played it as a cough and asked politely, "What do you mean?"

"I know your not human." Arthur told Luci.

Luci started to fully panic. "I don't know what your talking about." She forced out a chuckle.

"But I won't tell anyone." Arthur assured Luci.

"What? Why?" Luci asked. Her eyes widened at her slip up and she quickly tried to cover it up. "I mean, what are you talking about? Was there something odd in my tests?"

"Yes." Arthur said. "And with your 'loss of memory' I figured you knew. You see, most doctors would have hauled you away to a research lab. But when I was a kid, I was taught that all life matters and I couldn't do that to a person." Arthur grinned, "Plus I was a huge alien fan as a kid and it was kind my dream to meet an alien, sooo."

Luci giggled, "Thank you, Arthur. You're a good man. And for the record, I'm not an alien." She smirked as Arthur's eyes lit up and he leaned forward. "I'm an elf."
