Sophie's initial reaction to the room she had entered was disappointment. It looked exactly like the room they had just left except this room had lights. Fable giggled at Sophie's expression, "We take extra precautions to make sure that troublemakers don't get in."
Fable's expression changed in an instant from sweat and soft to hard and serious. "Now, everything you see from here on in is top secret. So, you can't telepathically tell that boyfriend of yours anything you see."
"He's not my b-"
"Got it." Fable's voice had lost that soft flow and was now all business.
"Yes?" Sophie was now getting very suspicious. Fable was being weird.
"Good." Fable pointed upwards and Sophie followed her gaze to the dangling lights she had first seen. Now taking a closer look at them she saw it was actually a leapmaster in disguise. Fable yelled, "ALEXANDRITE!" Sophie recognized it as one of the rarest minerals.
Fable reached out her hand to Sophie and she grinned, "Ready?" With that said Fable pulled Sophie into the light.
******
When Sophie opened her eyes, she shouldn't have been surprised to find herself in the SAME ROOM AGAIN! Sophie groaned and kicked the wall, "We are in the same room as before! I thought this was supposed a prestigious program! Not boring, empty rooms."
Fable smirked and strode over to the door, "You mean like this?"
After Fable had opened the door Sophie was frozen due to shock. The door had opened into a long corridor full of students talking and laughing. Trees lined the halls and created a leafy canopy, sunlight shone through the cracks, lighting up the students faces. But oddly enough, power was everywhere. Kids walked down the halls in force fields, water zoomed over everyone's heads, along with wind, ice coated some of the floor and every ability was on display, even fire. But the most unusual thing was nobody seem to care, it was just normal to them.
"You know there are some bugs around here and you don't want them flying into your mouth." Fable was giggling as Sophie snapped her jaw shut. "Oh, and before we start you might want to let your boyfriend know your okay. But don't say anything about this place just let him know your fine. Please."
Sophie nodded and reached out with her conscience. Fitz?
When she opened her mind up his thoughts all she could hear was a whirlwind of thoughts. Sophie could only catch little bits of it before he transmitted back. SOPHIE! We were all so worried! What were you THINKING!
Sophie winced at Fitz's loud voice, "Ooh is Lover Boy to loud." Sophie glared at Fable before turning her attention back to Fitz.
Fitz, I'm fine.
Well we didn't know that!
I'm sorry, but I have to go now I'll tell you more later. Bye.
Sophie cut off the connection. She knew Fitz was going to be very mad at her. "So, shall we continue the tour?" Fable asked.
Sophie nodded mutely as she looked around at her surroundings. Even for elf standards it was magnificent. Fable started to walk down the hall and Sophie hurried to catch up. When Sophie caught up Fable started speaking rapidly "Now, Storm isn't what you would call a normal program it focuses more on clever ways to use your abilities. This program will stretch you physically, mentally, and emotionally. We do not believe in failure, no one way is the same and everyone has a place. Most of the time we must invent a new place for them."
