Indeed a beautiful and a dramatic start to the story. The author eases us into the life of Wei Wuxian making the reader sympathetic towards his lifestyle. His life is not one that of roses but purely of thorns. Reading his pain made me want to give him some soothing cuddles.
So to give you all a summary, Wei Wuxian lost his parents when he was young, he grew up with his uncle and aunt who have abused him to the maximum. (Can you see me shedding tears?), exhausted with such mistreatment, he leaves them, gets himself into a lot of odd yet legit jobs and makes him financially stable, with just one end goal and that is to become a writer.
As the story progressed, I warmed upto the theory of Wei Wuxian or Wu Xian lost in such despair which makes him seek a laptop that is pretty unusual in a dark website.
Scenarios change, he gets involved and what happens, I won't reveal, for that you need to read the story.
My Views:
This is well executed, yet at some places I found a tad bit of inconsistencies, which when I pointed out, the author gladly accepted them. I just wish that the author would either stick to the usage of the name Wei Wuxian or Wu Xian. The constant mix up might confuse a non fandom reader if they choose to read your book cause they liked your story.
The author could also ease with the transition between scenes. As in the proper usage of sentence breakers. Let it not be continuous. Might confuse the readers when there is a change in the scene.
Otherwise, the story is interesting and the concept is refreshing. Loved the way your words played with my imagination.
In all, if the readers love an angsty start: I'd recommend you can go for this book. 👍
