Shattered by glass

*trigger warning*
My voice is not loud enough to over come the overwhelming sound if my mind. My voice is raw from screaming out. I look around and see know one here to help. I'm trapped in my own mind like a monkey in a cage. I try so hard to bust open the lock but it will not budge. I search for the key through the utter darkness of my thought. "GET ME OUT IF HERE" I scream hoping someone would hear my cries. I'm frantically searching for a way out. I see the blood spilling now. I'm shaking on the cage doors my thoughts lock me in. I look down and see my reflection. I am disgusted with the person I see. This is not the person anyone wanted me to turn out to be. I finally break slightly out of my cage. I drop my reflection. "What have I done" I look at the blood seeping into the carpet my tears start to mix with them. Everything I have worked up to build has been broken. Shattered by glass.
