Early dawn had approached, I had been awake for the pass hour or so, watching Thancred sleep soundly. My mind kept going back to last night, the warm embrace, the seven year lost love; I smiled at how blissful it all was. Though the cycle came at the worst time, I realized it was the aetheric imbalance. I've always dreamt of the moment I would be laying here, in Thancred's arms. I chuckled softly, which managed to wake him.
"Sorry, did I wake you?"
"And miss this chance to see a beautiful face?" He said as a pillow flopped on his face.
"So cheesy," I said. The pillow was thrown back at me. I grabbed hold of it, only to be wrapped in his arms. "Hey..."
"Five more bells," he said, as he nuzzled his head on the pillow which now laid on my chest. I chuckled as I brushed his hair.
"We got to work you know," I said. "And you still have to give Minfilia the news."
Thancred sighed. "I figured you'd say that." He rose up as a smile remained glued. "Lets not forget what tomorrow is,"
I titled my head to the side, unsure what he meant. Then suddenly having a mental face palm. Of course I can't forget my cursed nameday. My eyes narrowed, "Oh. Right."
"Come now, love. Let's not get all gloomy. Tomorrow will be different, I promise you." He said pulling me into a kiss. "I shall make this a nameday you shall not forget."
"I'll hold you to that." I purposely crawled over Thancred, sitting on him for a moment, kissed him and placed my feet on the floor. I reached to grab my clothes, but arms wrapped behind me.
"Don't expect to tease someone without proper punishment,"
"Oh? Am I a bad girl?" I teased.
"Very." He turned my head to face him, kissing me deeply as our tongues danced. There was work to be done, this I knew all to well, but I couldn't tell myself no, let alone him. He pushes me up against the wall, lifting me up just enough for me to wrap my legs around the waist. Well, round two.
------------
We had finally dressed as Thancred left the room first. I remained for a little while longer, taking out a different journal, writing down everything that has happened, things I want to remain secret. I smiled as I closed the cover. After all these years, I finally had him as mine, or well, sorta. We had to keep this a secret from everyone and one person wouldn't make that easy. Miss I-can-see-though-lies Y'shtola. I brushed out the massive bed head. I didn't realize how long it has gotten, as it laid flat in the middle of my back. The bangs were no longer there as they each laid at the side of my face, framing it perfectly. I had to change my shirt to something else, since my favorite black one was scotched. Thankfully it can be fixed, but it will take a while.
I left the room myself, thankfully no one was near. Just as o entered the main place, Shira stood there, waiting. "Alex!" She rushed to me and pulled into the storage area, which acts as a gathering place as well. Parzi, Rio, Gale, Tsuyako and Leo waited as the rose to their feet. "What happened!? We heard from Thancred but we just couldn't believe it until we saw for ourselves." Parzi spoke.
Ah, right...the primal...I smiled as I motioned joyfully. "Ifrit is going to be a problem no more, or rather for now."
Leo steppes up to me and asked, "Did you pet it for me?"
I narrowed my eyes at him, frowning. "And burn my hand off, no thanks." I gave him a pat on the head. "What else did he say?"
