I had arrived at a park, like an hour away from the house. I try not to call my house my home, as its not where I belong, therefore it's not my home. I knew I would have to go back at one point but while I was here I felt a bit safer. Even if there were maybe creepy stalkers or rapists I would prefer to be here than near my father.

"Oh look it's freak girl!" I heard some boys yell. 'Oh no' I thought, as they started to walk towards me from the park gates. One boy kicked my bike over, "Ooooo has daddy thrown you out again? " Another taunted. He grabbed my shoulder and ran his other dirty hand over my chest. "So stupid, yet so sexy." He whispered. "Get off" I whisper, trying to wriggle free. His grip tightened, and his spare hand was now done with my chest, it moved downwards to the top off my skirt. "Stop it!" I screamed. His ugly fingers managed to peel my tight skirt away from my hip and down to my underwear.

I screamed and managed to knee him in the crotch. Running for my bike I stood it up and jumped on it straight away, and made for the gate. "Playing hard to get aye?" I heard him shout. The other boys jumped on their own bikes and made chase, after me.

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I cycled as fast as I could down the road. These were probably the only people I was scared of. As I went too fast over a speed bump, my bike flew from under me and I crashed in to the floor. My knee bled heavily as I waited, un-willingly for the gang. "No escape from me now Libby." the leader sneered.

"Get away from her!" I heard a familiar voice shout. It was Chris. "Oh gotta dash, boyfriends here." the boy laughed cycling the opposite way. Chris came running over. "Are you ok?" He said kneeling down to check me over. I nodded. "Did it happen again? With Daryl and his gang?" I nodded sniffing away tears. "You know when you come here you should always come see me first." He said lightly kissing me on the cheek. Chris was the person I loved most in this world, more than my mother and Bradley. "Come on let's go get you patched up."

We arrived at Chris' house his mother rushed out. "Oh you fell off your bike again love? I don't know how it keeps happening you poor duck." she rushes over and takes the bike off Chris. We had never told her about the trouble I get in with father and the gang, because she would just tell the police and I would be taken from my mother and Bradley.

I sat on the kitchen bench while Chris bandaged my knee. "I'll have to head back, I've given him enough time." I whisper my voice dulled by the day's events. "I'll come with you." Chris said pressing his lips to mine. We sat like that for a few seconds, just to enjoy this small time together. I go to disagree but he beats me to it "You can't stop me!" He pulled away. "But you know what my father did last time he met you, he'll try make my life even worse by removing you from it. You are the only reason why I'm still alive!" I say, tears in my eyes.

I remembered the time, I was in a forest holding a loop around my neck, about to jump down from a tree root, when Chris grabbed my hand and begged me to stop. He saved me that day. He's the reason I'm alive.
