When Anastasia walked into Wanda's room, the older girl could immediately see that there was something wrong.

Ana's breathing was shallow, her hands shook at her sides, and eyes wide staring at Wanda seemingly looking for answers Wanda wasn't sure she would be able to provide.

"Hey, have you watched Th- wait, you're crying. What's wrong?"

Anastasia just opened and closed her mouth, staring wide-eyed at Wanda.

Rolling off the bed, Wanda got to her feet and slowly approached the now crying girl. "Hey, Ana, what happened? Are you hurt?"

Shaking her head, Anastasia broke the eye contact she had with the older girl and looked away, "I did something bad."

"What is it, Ana? What did you do, I can't help you if you don't tell me."

It was clear Anastasia wasn't listening particularly, as she explained, "he's going to kick me out but I don't want to leave."

Wanda just gently took her girl in her arms and hugged her close. Scooting the two to the bed, Wanda sat next to Anastasia and, grabbing a blanket that was thrown over the bed, wrapped the crying teen in a pale red blanket. "Alright love, can you tell me what happened?"

Anastasia just looked in front of her in a daze until she took a deep breath and confessed, "I called Bucky dad."

"Oh, hunny, it's alright. Do you want me to do anything for you?"

"Could you turn on some music?" Other than that, Anastasia just nestled her head in Wanda's shoulder and sniffled, the tears no longer actively flowing.

Wanda decided it would be best to let her sit and have a moment to herself without being alone. "The Night We Met" floated through the sound speaker, the melodic hum helped calm the girl.

"Do you think he's going to make me leave?" Anastasia whimpered weakly.

"I've known Bucky for about a year now. I don't think he'll kick you out," Wanda tried to reassure her.

"You don't know that, he never wanted a daughter, this is just an excuse to get rid of me."

Wanda couldn't believe what she was hearing. Even after all the time Ana had spent with Bucky, how could she believe he wanted to get rid of her? "If he didn't want you, why would he have found you in that apartment building?"

Anastasia just sat on the bed, still enveloped in Wanda's arms and wrapped in her blanket. Her lips were parted and chapped, there were dried tear streaks on her cheeks and her breaths were deep and slow, even though she was thinking rapidly.

"Why don't you go take a warm shower and collect yourself. You can change into something comfy like a pair of my leggings, and then we can go make sandwiches or shower the fridge for leftovers."
